Really good for decaf
This is my favorite decaf coffee. I had to stop drinking regular coffee for health reasons and I searched for a few years for a good tasting decaf coffee. I've even ordered small crafted decaf coffee from specialty stores but this tastes better to me. It's smoother for a decaf and full bodied. Not too acidic. Not a complex taste profile but a good quality. Highly recommend. I do have it set up on a monthly subscription.

Has the taste and feel of medium blend regular coffee
Amazon suggests “sheerness” as a quality it wants to track in this product. This is by far the most sheer decaf I have ever tasted. I do not know what that means. It’s like translation from Mandarin, although I don’t think that’s the situation here. What I can say, with certainty, and without the need for odd translation, is that this decaf did not taste like decaf. It is rich and full bodied. I also ordered the WF organic Pacific Rim which was darker and more bitter. This decaf strikes as a medium roast non-decaf, which is to say maybe being decaf puts it down a notch but being “darker” puts it back up a notch resulting in a medium bodied coffee that does not taste like decaf. Kind of like how you always order the next size up if you’re ordering a petite - regular size 4 is petite size 6? Regular decaf coffee is weak, whereas dark and bold decaf coffee is like a medium roast. Not sure but I’m going to get the organic WF Morning Buzz regular instead of the Pacific Rim next time because I’m loving the medium blends. I had this coffee black during a fast day (clean fast no calories) and it was a wonderful addition to my Friday rainy afternoon working from home. I used pour over method but I blocked with tape two of the four holes on the plastic thing you put over the cup, the filter holder, so it brews more slowly. I store my coffee in the freezer. I use a lot. Maybe a quarter cup of grounds for a huge 32 ounce cup of Joe. I recently switched to organic because it tastes and feels genuinely cleaner to the point where I really notice a clarity versus a jitteriness depending on whether my coffee is organic or not. Maybe it’s the mold. Something about being grown in shade versus sun I heard. Maybe organic just isn’t as mass produced so it sits less. Maybe it’s karma around fair trade if that’s even true (they don’t claim it is a fair trade coffee but I trust WF may have decent partnerships with folks / maybe even rainforest alliance relationships). Maybe all the bugs mellow it out. This is already ground, and it’s a large quantity, but it’s still fresh and not stale. I used extra tape to get it closed because it didn’t come with one of those big flat wire twisties attached lengthwise to the top to fold it down - although the pacific rim coffee did, so maybe it fell off of my decaf. The tape did the trick, the long way. It came with a piece of tape taped the long way but it wasn’t very long, so I added more. As you can see, obviously strangely, tape is a large part of my coffee experience. One more thing I’ll add is it’s really nice to get this high quality coffee since I went from 20 years in CA being close to a Whole Foods, to living in the woods of Vermont during a pandemic, and I truly do feel this is a luxury, and a blessing all around.

My favorite coffee
My hubby and I gave up caffein a few years ago, but didn't want to give up coffee; and organic is important for coffee due to most coffee brands being moldy (or so I've read). So we gave this a try. It is 100% made from arabica beans so it is very flavorful, even though it is decaf. Sometimes we run out, and have to use another brand, like Newman's Own, Simple Truth, or True Goodness. These are organic, quality coffees too, but we prefer the 365 Buzz Free.

Great Coffee, Price Keeps Increasing
Great coffee but they keep increasing the price! When I first started buying this last year it was $12.99. I purchased June 1st of 2024 for $15.99. It is now $19.99 only a few weeks later. Amazon needs to stop doing this!

This was a nice find!
I LOVE coffee and drank regular for years until my body decided it did not like the caffeine. As I researched decaf I discovered that most decaf is chemically treated to make it decaffeinated and that is NOT an option for me. There are so many foods that are filled with toxic chemicals and food dyes that I stay away from. I'd stop drinking coffee altogether if it was going to be chemically treated but then I discovered the Swiss water process for making coffee decaffeinated. Woo Hoo! So when I stumbled across 365 by Whole Foods and found it to be water processed I jumped on purchasing it. Not only is it processed correctly but it tastes great, not bitter. . I use a French press and the flavor is great. This will be my go to. So glad to have found this coffee.

Loving this decaf!
I try to limit my caffeine intake, but I hate the off-flavor of most decaf coffee... even relatively good brands generally have a gross flavor that reminds your taste buds with every sip that you aren't drinking a regular roast. This was one of the only affordable water-processed decafs that I hadn't tried so I got some on sale and I LOVE it so far. It's not quite as rich as a regular medium roast, but it's fairly close and the funky decaf flavor is so minimal I don't really notice it. I brew it in reusable metal K-cups and I've been really pleased with the result. My only complaint is that the price is a little high, but the quality is really great so I'll probably stick with it and stock up whenever it's on sale.

Great Coffee, Inconsistent Availability and Long Lead Time For Delivery
Great option for organic decaf coffee! However, it’s frustrating that this is inconsistently available. And it’s not an option to get delivered through Amazon Fresh despite being a Whole Foods product? What the hellAlso, LONG lead time for delivery. What’s up with that?I assume there’s something going on with production of this but get it together.
