This is the most sturdy marble run I've seen. I was able to put it together fairly quick and the run is sturdy enough for the kids to play with without breaking it. It is definitely for an adult to put together. It's possible a teenager could do it, but it would be wise for an adult to help. You must pay attention to the details. On the box there were pictures of other runs that could be interchangeable with this one, but I cannot locate any but this one. Would love to be able to get others so the kids could have different sturdy runs to play with.

I like the solid wood version. Pieces were well cut to fit. All parts do match up. Larger and a few more pictures and instructions would make this kit number one. Hope to see other kits with solid wood. What is the size of the marbles ?

Took me 4 hours to assemble. Very clever design. Wife and her g/c are Fascinated! On/off switch can be operated by 3 year old. Assembly is not for children.

This is a well thought out and designed "Build It Yourself" Marble Run.This is perfect for a rainy day building project. With 45 parts, it is complex, but the parts are well made and fit together nicely.The parts are well designed and the assembly is fun but Please be ready to take your time building it to produce the best finished product.Once assembled, then insert 3 AAA batteries to get it running.The wood grain and finish are quite beautiful, and once it is running, it truly is a beautiful kinetic sculpture which will draw you in as it runs.Just sitting idle on a bookshelf is guaranteed to bring on comments and questions.This will absolutely make an Excellent Gift.Cheers 🍷

This was the first time that I've built a kit that requires glue and it was a bit difficult as glue is not my friend. In the end I got it built and it works well although it got a bit messy and frustrating at parts. It's very fun to watch it to go , but for this one I would only recommend it for adults.

NOT satisfying to build. I know it's meant to be a project and maybe I'm to spoiled by Legos and Arduino kits, but this was incredibly tedious to build with the included super glue. There are many pieces that slide or click into place, and every individual part is smooth and nice, but there's too many steps with flat spots that need to be glued onto other flat spots, and the included glue takes so long to dry.I resorted to, at first, drilling small screws into the biggest parts, then eventually landed on super glue + hot glue for the faster dry time.The motor was also wired backwards, I had to solder of the leads and swap them to make the gears run the correct way.A lot of tiny adjustments. One of which was using a big glob of hot glue to get a ramp right, another was bending one of the gold looking wire u's to make a piece not rise too high.I eventually got it right though. And now that it's running, it's very fun and satisfying. It is sturdy, but the majority of under comes from my improvising. Functions well though. If they could solve the glue problem, it would probably cost them twice as much to produce but it would be worth twice the price to be honest.

I ordered the 3D Wooden Electric Marble Run Set because I enjoy building kits that require patience and skill. I don't mind working on a kit little by little over a period of weeks or even months. As a member of the Vine program, however, I can't typically wait that long to post a review. So this review is based on my impression of the kit prior to assembly. I like that it is primarily made from wood rather than plastic. The instructions look reasonable, but they don't appear to tell you everything you need to know. I am certain there will some challenges during construction. The instructions say to sand every wooden piece, but I interpret that to mean sand where necessary to remove any rough spots, much like removing the flash from plastic models. The kit appears to be well organized with parts grouped by layer in foam cutouts. I may update this review when my kit is complete, especially if it doesn't meet my expectations of a 5 star rating!
