Is this a taste sensation? Not really. Is it easier and more pleasant than consuming the equivalent amount of greens? Absolutely. Packed full of good healthy stuff, this dissolves pretty well but you do have a chalky sort of texture and residue. I like to use a shaker bottle, and add a little fruit smoothie to mellow the taste, and it goes down pretty well. Worth it for all the goodness and I’m sure it will be an acquired taste over time.

I was really excited to request the Super Greens Powder 600g | 28 Green Superfood Blend with Vitamins & Minerals to test with my husband.We've wanted to try Alpha Greens for some time.The product arrived neatly packaged and in immaculate condition.The Alpha Foods pack is a good size and contains 20 servings of a blend of natural ingredients.This includes spirulina, wheatgrass, moringa, vitamin D3 and vitamin B amongst others.The deep green powder is quite fine and blends easily with water or other preferred drinks.We began taking this as part of our morning routine and decided to add it to apple juice.It took a while to get used to the slightly chalky and bitty texture, but the aftertaste is pleasant.I felt good taking this and did notice a positive effect and boost of energy after about 1 week.It's reassuring that this is manufactured in Germany and the ingredients are all natural and highly sustainable.I think we would both continue to use it, if it wasn't priced quite so high.Whilst we're both taking it, a pack only lasts for 10 days which equates to about £45-£50 a month.For a supplement, this is a bit too expensive for us to sustain longer term.It's a shame, as I really do feel it's a great quality product with a high degree of efficacy.Overall, a lovely product priced competitively compared to similar products.

I've always eaten a healthy diet and generally feel that I don't need supplements, but I have recently tried various superfood powders added to my breakfast porridge. I'm in my mid-seventies, and very fit and active, but conscious that I need to do everything I can to stay that way - and this Alpha Greens mix has an impressive list of over 65 active ingredients!Although I like to eat healthily, I don't want to put up with anything that tastes horrible - and unfortunately, this Alpha Greens mix is far too sweet for me. It actually has quite an artificial taste, and a really unpleasant aftertaste that I could only get rid of by drinking a strong cup of black coffee! It's not even going to work mixing it in with my breakfast porridge as the taste is going to be hard to disguise. What's more, I found it difficult to get rid of the lumps when I mixed it up - although I do approve of the removal of the scoop from the packet as finding a plastic scoop buried in the powder would have really wound me up!Another annoyance for me is that the listing says that you get 30 servings from this 600g packet. With the recommended serving size of 30g, you only get 20 servings, making it much more expensive at 80p per serving, not 53p. Also, although there's a very long list of ingredients, as other reviewers have pointed out, there is no nutritional information like energy (kcal), fat, carbohydrates, sugars, fibre, protein and salt.Needless to say, I won't be buying this product again, but I'm grudgingly giving it 3 stars as I'm sure it will appeal to supplement lovers who are used to drinking sweet, artificial-tasting cold drinks - even if they are a horrible green colour!

I quite like adding this to juice or even blended smoothies for a little boost in energy and health. The taste doesn’t bother me but you can taste it in the drink depending what you put in there. It comes in a 600g bag which I thought wasn’t a lot but it has actually been lasting quite well and longer than I expected! I have noticed a little boost in my immune system when I’m a bit ill, sometimes the very same day (hours later or the next day) I already feel better! I didn’t expect too much but proper nutrition does help your system massively! Especially if you don’t normally eat healthy enough or are a bit under the weather.I’ve also gotta say that even though I usually like to store such powders in glass jars, the container bag has actually been really good at storing the powder well so I haven’t put it in a glass jar and just use the original bag.

Tastes so bad and doesn't mix well. Chalky and bitty and the flavouring doesn't do a good job of masking the taste of the pea protein. You can literally see allm the powder not mixed after mixing and I used a electric whisk too. I literally gagged whilst trying to drink this. Definitely one to mix into other things than drink in water as instructed.
