Love this candy! Better than chemical filled US candies.

I ordered this thinking it was gonna be salt licorice. I had some once in Denmark that was sweet licorice covered in salt and I LOVED it. Based on the photos, I thought this was the same thing. Nope! That's granuslated sugar on the outside. I'm really enjoying them but their not salt licorice at all. They're soft and chewy but not to the point of pulling the fillings out of my teeth.To those who gag at the taste salt licorice--I did too the first time I tried it in Denmark. But there was something about it that I liked, I guess, because would nibble on it a little every once in awhile. Now I really ike it. I just wish I knew the brand name of that idea version.

Me being Dutch I feel the sensation in every bite!! I Have loved licorice since I was a little kid and I still do!! I love all licorice, especially Dutch, but also enjoy made by any other country. The price is more expensive than local, but it’s okay from time to time!

I got hooked on something my confectionery company called 'salty licorice' made for Scandinavian market. It had a good dose of ammonium chloride giving is a sharp ammonia note that yo could feel in your sinuses. Most of my American colleagues couldn't stand it, and I though it was awful at first. But after a while I started craving it. Can't get that product any more and I have been searching for something like it.This isn't is. it is so salty (sodium chloride) that it burns your mouth, but the ammonia is weak. Maybe it is right for the Scandinavian market, but not what I am looking for.
