I always had a whole house carbon block filter in my houses, but this takes clean water to a new level. I run 2 ice makers and the one sink faucet supplied.I added another 5 gallon tank in parallel to the supplied tank so I would not run low on the RO water when filling pots of water for cooking, etc.. Using two tanks actually improves the water pressure at the sink faucet.Was easy to install. I put it in the basement below the sink area so the unit did take up cabinet space.

The system was easy and clear to setup, really no issue with that. Make sure you use teflon tape and dope the threads. I ended up switching back to the normal VO filter from the +Mineral version because it gave a very slight fishy taste. Aquatru was helpful with that and shipped me out a new filter immediately.Now, with this sytem, they ship you some cheap garbage Chinese t-valve that leaks like crazy. I tried everything to stop this leak, and I am pretty decent with plumbing. It's the pivot point, not the threaded part that was the problem, it is just a trash valve. I replaced it with "1/4 in. Push-To-Connect x 3/8 in. Female Compression x 3/8 in. Compression Polypropylene Valve Fitting" which worked perfect and didn't leak at all.If it wasn't for that valve I would have given it 5-stars.

Two parts are low quality, keep leaking. Please send me the two replacements.Updated: refund is completed.

Really love Our system! The water tastes great. Knowing that the Family & I are drinking healthy & mineral-enriched water is a comfort every time I fill up. The filter systems side wall mount fits great under our sink. Very happy!!

After 14 hours of work, going to ace hardware four times to get correct parts because product didn't send them, the item leaks in places that we never touched. To take apart will not be easy, but I'm going to take apart and send back. They do not have people they can send out to help.

Easy to install, wasn't rocket surgery, the fittings all worked 1st run with no leaks. Use the toss away plugs as a guide & mark the hose where the full length would be inserted & make a straight cut on hose, bam.Any fishy taste (which is barely perceptable in fresh pure water & disappears when diluted in any drinks or w foods) comes from the calcium chloride in the ph+/mineral stage, which would be normal. It is the main building block for big strong fishies of the sea.Unless you are supplementing these minerals w diet, I assure you most Americans are still mineral deficient even then. Good RO systems bring it to 0 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) that means the good stuff in water too.Do what you like, but i want those minerals in dissolved water for some deep tissue hydration. Hope this helps someone because these low star reviews are just trash.

This was the number one under the sink filter after doing a lot research and looking up third party certifications. Installation was easy with easy to follow instructions. I love that it removes so many concerning contaminants. I got the alkaline version of the stage four filter and tested the ph of the water once it was installed and flushed out. The ph of my regular sink tap water was a 7 and the water from this was a 9. So happy to have alkaline RO water on tap at my own sink!

The media could not be loaded. Cheap chinese fittings that leak all over the place. Company took over a month to send several replacement ones after I had to send photos and videos showing that they did leak. The replacements leaked as well. Now I have a hole in my drain pipe which you need to do to set up the system.Called customer support again (trying one more time before I toss the system) to get specs on the connectors so I can upgrade them to John Guest fittings. They are not able to provide the specs on sizes or thread pattern on the holding tank valve or the faucet quick connect fitting. The entire ordeal has been such a hassle and I can't turn my cold water on without a puddle under my sink.FollowupI will say that this last time the company did send the replacement parts in a timely fashion (less than a week) and they also refunded the cost. Customer service was much improved and as it should be. Maybe they are getting their act together.
