Must-have kitchen appliance — truly a game changer!
The Instant Pot is absolutely amazing! It’s incredibly versatile — I’ve used it to pressure cook, slow cook, steam, make rice, yogurt, soups, and even stew meat to perfection. Everything cooks faster and tastes better, and cleanup is super easy.It has completely changed how I cook during busy weekdays. Just throw in the ingredients, press a button, and walk away — no more standing over the stove. The build quality is solid and the presets are intuitive, even for beginners. This is hands down one of the best kitchen investments I’ve made. Highly recommended for anyone looking to save time and eat better!

Versatile and efficient cooking appliance!
We upgraded to this larger size Instapot. Gave our older one to our daughter. Glad we did. Easily fits larger cuts of meats without crowding! 6 pound whole chicken just lightly touched the sides of the insert. 5 pound corned beef fit without touching the sides. The release is one touch with a lever that is positioned away from the hot steam port. Much safer and much quieter as well.Pot lid can be set into a fitting molded into the pot rim so liquid can drain back into the pot. Controls seem to be more user friendly and have a better design than the old pot. Wife chose the gray color but I did like our old one with black trim. Unit is very heavy so be aware it is built well. Cooked chicken and large cuts of meat perfectly. We use the instapot for many family sized portions which makes this a versatile and time saving cooking appliance!

Tamed the Dragon—Now It’s a Kitchen Whisperer!
The Instant Pot Duo Plus 8-Quart isn’t just an upgrade; it’s a revolution. Gone are the days when my old Instant Pot roared like a dragon, spewing its steamy wrath onto cupboards and ceilings, leaving behind water stains that told tales of culinary battles fought (and lost). This new model, with its whisper-quiet silencer, has completely tamed the beast. It now operates with the calm efficiency of a Zen master—no more sudden hisses, no more kitchen eruptions. It cooks, it steams, it pressure-cooks, all while being so polite you could hold a conversation right next to it without shouting over the chaos. The 8-quart capacity makes it perfect for tackling big meals or cooking enough soup to feed a medieval feast, and it handles every function—from slow cooking to rice steaming—with ease and dignity. But if you're used to the older black Instant Pot, you might notice something different: this new gray model takes longer to cook some things, especially dry beans. It’s an adjustment, for sure, but one that’s worth making for the peace, quiet, and reliability this model brings to the table.Say goodbye to dragons and hello to perfectly cooked meals—just be ready for a slightly longer wait. It’s a game-changer, just at a slightly slower pace.

Best pressure pot for my kitchen.
Best pressure pot that I have being using.I have being using this brand pressure pot for more that 8 yrs but I just upgraded mine because my sister took my old one which still works fine. I can’t live my cooking time without my pot. So had to get me another one. It’s works fine my cook time it’s less and the best part my house won’t get hot with the stove being on so much. I can cook anything in less time and less expenses. You will live it and enjoy having more time of your self doing other duties.

LOVE the 8 quart instant pot!
This is a replacement purchase because I dropped it. WORKS great and supper is as easy as setting it up and coming back to a finished product right when your looking to eat lunch or cupper.

After getting used to, fantastic device!!
I had my 6 quart Instant Pot for the past 15 years, but it had no Sous Vide function, so decided to upgrade to the new one. The first time I used it, I did not remove paper seal from one of the parts inside the top, and it created a giant mess. Then I thought it takes forever to warm up before cooking compared to my old Instant Pot. I put it on 'Saute' function first, and it seemed to do the trick for the first few weeks. Now I don't notice it being slow heating up, maybe it needed some time to get used to.I have cooked beans, rice, dumplings, used Sous Vide funciton, and have made yogurt in this device.Yogurt and Sous Vide are amazing and easy to cook, I especially love Sous Vide funciton, and appreciate that I can set the temperature. The meat turns out absolutely delicious, and I don't even need to buy special sous vide bags, I just use Ziploc brand, which is sous vide certified, and it's very cost effective. When I cook beans, this instant pot seems to cook them not as well as my 15 year old one, so I make sure I soak the beans first, and I set some extra time to cook them. Otherwise, this is an exceptional device, and I can't say enough how much time it saves me in cooking! After getting used to and workout out some issues, this is my new favorite device!

Not as good as the original
Love the design and color however, it doesn't seem to cook quite the same as my original instant pot. The valve is definitely improved and the controls are user friendly. I did not like it as a slow cooker, it just doesn't get very hot and you can expect to cook twice as long if using it that way. I will probably only use it as a pressure cooker, and I've found I need to cook a little longer on that mode as well.
