Midea MRU03M2ABB Upright Freezer Large Black, 3.0 Cubic Feet

So far so good. The freezer turned out to be a tad smaller but it is enough for our immediate needs. It started beautifully. It is not noisy at all. Everything is frozen solid. We will see how it continues to work. Kudos to the Amazon truck drivers. They were careful and very courteous. No dents at all.

Lightweight enough that I could drag it inside the house and place it correctly in it's living space.I find the compressor noise to be nearly non existent. It's very quiet and just makes a low hum.I wish there was a small "power on" light. At least I would know it's running and not dead.Packed very well with lots of styrofoam blocks and formed protection pieces.It keeps prefrozen items still frozen after 2 days in mid 70ties interior temps.All is good. Paint job is excellent, adjustable feet and a strong suction of the door gasket when closed.

It's been 3 months so far, and it's been a great little freezer. We bought it to handle overflow from the big fridge when we buy in bulk, run into good sales, etc.....Delivery was great. I was really scared that they'd just drop it off the back, etc...., but they brought it covered, on a hand dolly, all belted in. No damage to the box, and more importantly, no damage to the fridge.The color is a standard black and streamlined in design. It simply looks like a midsized box or a modern cabinet a bit. The size is perfect, big enough to handle a multiple ice cream cartons, a few big flats of chicken, beef, ribs, etc... Also a couple of bags/boxes of fries, frozen vegetables, etc...I'm 6' tall, and it's about waist high, I put it on a little platform so it would be easier to reach the bottom basket/shelf. Noise isn't bad, just a little hum sometimes, not enough to be distracting. Cooling is ok, my fridge's freezer seems to get a little colder, but I haven't noticed anything bad like melting ice cream, etc.... It's freezing things well.It has a little turn lock at the bottom, it works, but I never use it. It's in an annoying spot, and I just don't have a need. It's not a standard key, but a hex type. You could probably use a standard hex key to get in if you ever lost the real one.Will update if anything bad happens.:).

Small. Go bigger. Not a lot of room with all the shelves. OK for a single person or a couple in an apartment but it will hold a couple of family packs of chicken etc... But not much more. Go a size up. But the freezer itself is solid mechanically.

I live in a smaller apartment where I couldn't fit a larger deep freezer. This fit perfectly into a bedroom closet.Initially I was concerned about the lack of airflow and heat, but it's been running pretty cool and quiet - a pleasant surprise.And it came without any dents. Pretty light weight, but overall highly recommend.

Have to write this review. I live in an assisted living home, and meals are provided here. But because of a chronic health problem I can’t go down to the cafeteria. And having food delivered from the kitchen was costing me over $16 a day, when my meals were paid for with my rent. I have been cooking in my room now for two years, with just a microwave to use. With this wonderful freezer I can have a much bigger assortment of meals available, and it keeps my meals frozen very hard, so I don’t have to worry about spoilage. My life has improved tremendously and I am so very glad I decided to take the chance and buy this. I love it, and highly recommend this freezer to anyone who needs more freezer space. A real winner!!!

I have used this freezer for almost 3 months, and love it! It is just the right size for our needs, and arrived, in original factory packaging with only a small dent that was barely worthy of comment. I have added a few plastic dishpans to the shelves to help organize the freezer, and they work quite well. No need to defrost, so far. Organizing the contents is something I am working on never having owned such a large freezer before.07.06.2019 Update after 2 years of ownership: I defrost it on an annual basis, and did so today. It is quick (use a fan) but a bit messy. I suppose if I did it more often it might be easier, but it really does not accumulate much frost.I would buy it again in a minute.10.11.2020 Year three of ownership update: I need to defrost it soon, a bit lazy this summer, but this freezer is still working fine. It was our only freezer for many months until I purchased a new side-by-side fridge for my kitchen, the only size that could make it into our limited kitchen space. It is still an important part of our kitchen, and in daily use.12.17.2023 Year 6 of ownership: Still works fine, but I also hate having to defrost it. Still well worth owning. It has done a fine job for us. It is in our pantry adjacent to the kitchen and has our 2nd small fridge that has been carefully placed on top of it, with sufficient air space in between. I only wish it were larger and frost-free, but realize this is not possible for a freezer at this price.
