Heat just right. Good size. Easy clean.
It gets hot quickly and stays on until you turn it off. There's no "time out" or heat control - keep it simple! It's a griddle more than a grill.I've only done cheese & ham toasties so far but it (medium) is large enough to cook even the largest steak, mushrooms, onions all at once. The "dislocated" lid is really handy. It will lay flat on the top of the thing you are cooking, regardless of how thick the thing is. Both sides get equal heat compared to a simple jaw type grill. If doing a single toastie then put it in the middle - if you put it left or right the dislocated lid will tilt and press against the hot base. Maybe not an issue but I'd rather the two hot plates didn't touch each other.Easy to clean. I let it cool before cleaning and the melted cheese came off easily. The only thing to grumble about (and it's a tiny grumble) are those small bumps running across the front of the base. They prevent me simply sliding my toastie out into my hand. I need to lift it out with a plastic spatula. I tried fingers and it's just not worth the "ouch" because those plates are hot! Those bumps might prevent food sliding out though if you use the rear foot to tilt the thing up, for draining juices into the drip tray. The heat is spot on. Not so hot that it frazzles the outside before the inside is cooked.I haven't timed my toastie but it's not much different from my Breville "Classique" toastie maker. That was a pain to clean - too many narrow gulleys for food detritus to end up in. This George Foreman is far easier to clean. Easy snack, easy maintenance.I remember my parents making cheese toasties in the oven. Took 15 minutes to heat up, had to flip the bread to cook both sides, then remove, add cheese, put back into oven. Lord knows how much time and electricity that consumed for such a simple pleasure. The manual has a whole bunch of cooking time suggestions for different things. This thing can't do chips, but heck steak on this and microwaved baby potatoes and my big old inefficient oven will be a redundant dinosaur! You can't sustain a family of 6 on this, but for a couple or us singles it really does make for efficient convenient cooking.

FANTASTIC
Absolutely FABULOUS! We decided to go back to a GF Grill due to not really liking our Air Fryer that we bought last year. This grill really is good - easy to clean - and cooks all sorts of meat quickly and well without the need for oil. My only slight criticism is the drainer tray - it is a bit of a faff to slot in - best to do it before you switch the grill on - and then don't move the grill, as if you do the drainer tray pops out. Good price and a very quick delivery; we are delighted.

Great grill with some flaws
Had one of the George Foreman grills from 10+ years ago, which we really liked. Have had some alternate sandwich toasters since then until we decided to try another George Foreman. The medium is a good size and allows us to toast two large sized sandwiches side by side, which is its main use. Does a really good job of it as well.Only real downsides are the branding being on the grill which makes it a little harder to clean as food always get stuck inbetween the letters and there is no actual temperature control or switch on the actual device - you plug it into the mains socket and that's the only control you have. It's also quite unstable as when you put your sandwiches in, we tend to put pressure on the front to try and cook evenly. If you don't do this the top half of the sandwich will toast more than the bottom. The old George Foreman we had seemed to have a better hinge to get up and over the sandwiches. When you put some weight on the front of the grill, it can actually tip over, so isn't ideal. But the actual output, a lovely toasted sandwich, is nothing to complain about so we can live with these little flaws. Hopefully they'll resolve these issues in a newer model.

Amazing gril
I use it a lot to gril meat, vegetables, eggs, make toasties etc. It's easy to use, hits quickly and it's easy to clean even for a person like me who doesn't like cleaning. Highly recommend, this gril will make your cooking so much easier and you won't use oil which makes it even more healthy!

Thank you George!
Amazing machine. Don't understand why I didn't get one earlier. Simplifies the mess of cooking so much. I just cooked my first steak in it. 1/4 of the effort compared to pan frying, 1/4 of the cleaning afterwards. And the result: As good as the best result when pan frying, which is a bit hit and miss. You just throw it in the preheated grill, takes 3 min for medium. Remove the steak. Remove the grease from the plates with a wet kitchen paper. Enjoy your steak. Afterwards, warm up the grill a bit and go over it with a wet sponge. Done. No big deal. Not having to clean the grease from the top of the stove, the tiles, wash the pan etc etc. Life simplified.
