Omega One Freshwater Flakes, 5.3 oz

I was surprised to receive such a large bottle, wow it will last a long time, the fish like the food, natural color, no artificial ingredients! Such a great value!

I have been buying this over and over because I am happy how long my fish live and how healthy and colorful they are.I have used it for all purpose, from regular feeding of my fish, to feeding newly hatched fry and growing up to adult size without providing any other special diet. my fish do make a lot of babies and are good parents so every few months I end up with a new batch and for the most part they end up growing to adult size with this food. My fish color is very bright and they seem very happy. My water does not get too dirty. This is a great product.

I'm pretty new to fish keeping and had been using a couple different kinds of Tetramin flakes; after reading more about foods and realizing that a lot of them including Tetramin are largely made of stuff that's not seafood, and thinking that better nutrition may help my fish live longer and healthier lives, I started reading labels and this product looked to have the highest quality ingredients, so I decided to buy it even though it was a lot more $ than what I was paying locally for Tetramin.The first good news is that this is a very big jar of food. I wasn't paying attention to the ounces but for some reason was thinking it would be about the same size as the Tetramin I'd been buying for around half the price locally. Actually more than 5 times as much food. (My previous food was only 1 ounce, this is 5.3.)The second good news is that within a couple weeks my tetras' colors were markedly more vivid (neons, black neons, and glowlights--especially the blue of the nons), and I also have a neon blue Mickey Mouse platy whose color is noticeably more blue and iridescent. My blue/rust-colored Betta, red platies, sunset platies, and orange swordtails were pretty vivid to begin with so I'm not really sure if their colors are richer now or not. But I'm definitely impressed at how great the others look!And of course I'm confident this food is better for them, since it is made mostly of several kinds of seafood. It took them a few days to get used to it but now they gobble it up.

We switched our fish to this food and it's made a remarkable difference. Our fish love it. They've also lived a lot longer than the fish we had on the other food. We had a fish dying like once every 1-2 months until we switched.

90 percent of the flakes were crushed.Could happen in shipping. They are ok for small fish but not for 3in. cichlids.I shut all my filters off while feeding to prevent the food from polluting the tank. The flakes do seem to have the best ingreedients.

I have to say i am very pleased with omega one products to begin with. I use this in my community tank 55 gal. They all love it and go crazy over these flakes. Great ingredients and not just fish meal and meal products . I use this to feed my oscars, corey's, dragon goby's, feather fin catfish and even my goldfish. It is worth the money for what is inside . Best place to purchase is from here as it is more cost effect especially for the amount of tanks and fish i have to feed daily. I only buy omega one and will continue to feed my fish this because of the ingredients in it. I did purchase this at full price and this is my honest and unbiased thoughts.
