The controller the N64 deserves
The Brawler64 is the ideal way to play the classic N64 in the modern day and age. Even as a kid I could hardly hold the original controller properly, but with the comfortable Switch Pro controller style design I can easily hold and properly play my childhood favorites. It even comes with an amazing Turbo function that can be easily activated by simply holding the button followed by pressing the button you want in Turbo mode, and is canceled in the same way with the Clear button. It's especially useful for the few fighting games released on the system as the A, B, and C buttons line up much nicer than on the original.About the sole possible negative is that it'll take a bit of getting used to when using the new Z buttons if you've gotten used to the classic style and the buttons aren't glossed so they don't have that nice sheen anymore.

Fantastic. Perfect.
Absolutely amazing. I want to buy 10 more. ALL of my games are playable fantastically smoothly with the vastly improved joystick over the old N64 trident. The cord is long, and the shell is cool looking. Best of all is having two triggers on the controller and they BOTH work as the Z button. The only thing I would change is the matte finish on the buttons, but that is a highly nitpicky personal preference thing. I rather like the feel of the glossy buttons on the classic N64 controller. This controller deserves every bit of 5 stars and more. I also tested it with a generic N64 adapter for my PC and it works perfectly on that as well without needing a driver or anything changed.

Most comfortable and best 64 controller I have ever owned.
Ok I've had this controller for 11 months and have played with it alot. This is the best Nintendo 64 controller I have ever owned! It's a little pricey for a controller to a console that came out in the 90s with that said I think ots worth every penny. Thus should have been the design of the 64 controller from the start. It comes in many colors I got the jungle green to match my n64 and couldn't be happier. Would definitely purchase again.

Very decent controller
Very decent controller and works perfectly. However, it doesn’t seem to work with memory paks. I have read that this is a manufacturing issue as others work with memory paks just fine. As such, I wouldn’t completely recommend this unless your N64 collection is mainly games that don’t need memory paks or are using this to play on PC through an adapter. Also I should mention that my controller is the one that does NOT work with memory paks.

The definitive Nintendo 64 controller
This is the perfect controller for the Nintendo 64. The analog stick uses a Gamecube-like nub and it really feels good to use, unlike the official Nintendo 64 controller which gives you calloused fingers if you use it for too long. As a bonus, it also includes a Turbo button which is really easy to use. The Z triggers feel good to use, although there’s really no point in them being triggers apart from the fact that it inspires itself in modern controllers. Most of the time you’ll be using R to aim and Z to shoot in games that have guns. You have to option to use either Z trigger because you have one on the left and one on the right part of the controller, both under the shoulder buttons. All in all, this is a must-buy and I highly recommend this controller if you’re like me wanting to play the Nintendo 64 for nostalgic reasons and was shying away due to the official controllers being weird as hell and having sticks that were prone to breaking.

Finally, A N64 Controller That WORKS!
If you love playing retro games for N64 on console with the actual cart like I do, then you know how crucial a good control stick is to your experience. The main issue is that the original formula was a terrible mix of faulty manufacturing and difficult calibration. Either your original controllers broke down, or your new retro controller stinks. Until now.The Retro Fighters Brawler64 controller feels light in your hands and has a stick much more like what most are used to today. That might frighten some enthusiasts, but trust me, I tested this with Mario 64 on the Fire level. I was able to beat the big Bob-omb like I was a speed runner. I could turn on a dime and get those giant eyeballs to die like I did with my original controllers. I plugged in Majora's Mask as well and Link moved fluidly like I remember. Also tried this with Starfox 64 and was able to hold my reticle on targets like back in the day as well. After not playing for ages I came 2 kills shy of medaling on Corneria on my test run.My only gripe is the Z triggers being in the place of where the modern L2 R2 buttons are rather than the Left Bumper. It can make games like StarFox a bit confusing because in most games the leaning function in flight or racing (in a game like F-Zero 64 for example) are mapped to the left and right bumpers. For n64 it's Z trigger and Right bumper so the alignment is a bit different. I found myself hitting Left bumper a few times when I meant to hit the Z trigger. Other than that this controller is excellent. It has a turbo function that you can map to different buttons, I read about this but haven't tried it yet.I also do not have a working memory card or Rumble Pack to test on it but it does have the correct port for it. The instructions do note that this DOES NOT work with the Transfer Pack.I ordered 2 of these and will likely order 2 more so friends can get down on some MArio Party or Goldeneye action. I'm so happy these controllers exist so I can access my n64 library again. Now I just need a reliable memory source and I'll be back in my 90's hay day again.

Works really well
Having the nostalgia factor and a fairly sizeable collection of N64 games, my main concern about this controller was how it would feel when I played some of my all-time favorites such as Mario 64, Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Smash Bros and most of all, Ocarina of Time. The controller is extremely responsive, no lags I could notice and although the design is different, its a great experience playing those games. The Analog can be overly sensitive sometimes but not too bad. Beats the other third-party options, it is as beautiful as the more expensive original clear collection of controllers, and the design is built to last. I highly recommend it!

Better than the HoriPad
This is probably the best controller, but the Retrobit has the nicer stick. If you're still planning on getting a Retrobit do not get the red one, the shoulder pads are not named and they do not feel as nice to touch as the see-through coloured ones.I don't have particularly large hands and even I find the Horipad to be a bit cramped in my hands, the controller is also too sensitive so doesn't play as nice as the coloured Brawler. Not to mention Horipads are all 20 years old+ now and have the normal signs of wear and tear. This is probably the best all-rounder you can get. This version has apparently been updated slightly to remove problems, if the Youtube comment by the Brawler team was right.

Simply the best option for an N64 controller
Far and away the most comfortable controller I've ever held - and that's regardless of console generation! The colour is deep and looks amazing under LED/RGB light, and the buttons respond perfectly!
