Today, my child cried because of some misunderstanding between him and his friend. I told him communication is very important. Sometimes you may make wrong decisions just because you thought you have known everything. Then I saw a car phone mount in the corner, it reminds me of how I got the 12 car phone mounts in my home.That is also a story about a misunderstanding. But I do learn something from the experience.At the end of 2018, I bought this magnetic car phone mount. The package is decent, the delivery is fast, so I bought another 3 for the workplace, kitchen, and gift.I LOVE this magnetic car phone mount:1）Extremely easy for me to take it off and put it back2）No clamp, no button, no block3）The long arm makes it is very easy to reach the phone4）The magnetic is super strong to hold my Samsung heavy phoneThis was a perfect start, and also the start of misunderstanding. Not long after I installed the 3M pad, it became loose. I was so disappointed so I left a one-star review before asking VANMASS anything.I was contacted by their customer service very soon. After reading the precautions email, I realized there are some details I didn't follow. I emailed them back and asked them: why don't you guys put the information in the user manual, do you really think installing a 3M pad need 24 hours to get stable is common knowledge???Actually, They are not only put the instruction in the user manual but also send all the details in the email after the product sent out. you can see how embarrassed I am being.I thought how hard it could be to install a car phone mount. But I was wrong, The little things decide everything. If I was trying to contact VANMASS at first, then everything should be good soon. It is my fault to cause a hard time for VANMASS, but they said for all the inconvenience, they will send me a replacement. Then right in the second day, I received the replacements, not 1 but 4.VANMASS makes me thinking, why did I ignore the user manual in the first place. The age of online shopping:1. People are alienated, misunderstandings have deepened2. There are more and more pictures, but they are easily overlooked3. Mutual tolerance and trust are decreasing on the InternetThat is how the misunderstanding happened. You can get a lot of information on the product page, but actually, you just thought you have known the product enough. Such as when we read the reviews, there are a lot of bad experiences caused by misuse. Some details you may think it is very easy:1, Clean the dash/case first2, The suction cup is many time use, Rinse it with warm water to recover stickness3, Otterbox case is thick, stick the metal plate outside the case.4, Put the metal plate on the top or bottom if you want to use a wireless charger.5, The 3M pad is one-time use only, second thought before you install it, 24 hours needed before you install the mount on the pad.Nobody knows the whole story, most of us are the ‘blind people’ who can just get a part of the elephant. Sometimes an email will fix everything. If we can email and ask, I believe most of the problems could be avoided.This year I received an email from VANMASS because the supplier had replaced a batch of materials - 2000 pieces - without their permission. They decided to send a replacement to every customer who bought this batch of products. Even though I used the product without any problems, I still received the product a few days later, again, 4I was touched by this company, that is a mistake I guess nobody noticed, but they offered the biggest sincerity.That is how to solve a misunderstanding. First, trying to explain yourself. if communication is not helping, insist on being yourself. Time will help to explain.Such as after I got the 12 car phone mount in my home, there is no doubt for me that VANMASS is a great brand that stands behind its products. Compare to the after-sale email I got, the long term behavior proves everything.My child is ready to go out and solving issues with his friend. I turned on the computer and wrote this review. After 2 years, other car mounts I put in my shopping cart has gone now. VANMASS has shown us how important to loyal to their customers.So I do suggest you contact VANMASS first for any question you met. They won't let you down.

I have had a few phone holders before but this is BY FAR the best I have had! Super easy to install & stay where you put it! If you want to move it, can be done easy enough. The mount stays clamped down though and does not wiggle at all!The magnet was easy to install in my phone case. It is super strong & easily holds the phone to the mount's arm. The arm can be extended (which is great if I want to charge the phone as it makes the phone closer to the charging cable). The magnet on the mount arm pivot and angles if you want it to, but otherwise stays in place as desired. The angling feature is easy to use and nice if you wish to tilt it a little to avoid sun glare. Extra magnets provided to allow for additional phones to be set up to use this device.The charging port is accessible while the phone is attached to the mount, as is the headphone jack if you wish to connect your phone to the AUX feature in your car for example. My iPhone's voice-to-text and speaker phone features are not hampered in any way by this mount, so it adds to the safety desired vs. giving me something that might distract me while I drive.So useful and good quality. Am buying another one for my wife's vehicle. Highly recommend this item!

So, sort of a good news-bad news kind of thing. Hence the four stars and not five.I finally got the phone to stay on the magnetic mount by attaching the metal plates to the outside of the phone case. And let me state up front, I have a regular case. No Otter Box or thick industrial grade phone armor for me. Just a normal , average, run-of-the-mill phone case. Just... normal.I didn't want the plate on the outside of the case, I wanted it on the inside. Outside ugly.... inside not. That was why I bought the holder with the six super-strong uber-magnets in the first place. So that they would flex their magnetic muscle right through the case and snatch that darn phone right out of my hand and smash it in place with a audible thwack.There was no thwack.In fact, with the plate on the inside of the case, I was disappointed to feel the phone just sort of wander over gently onto the magnet pad and hang on it discreetly. And with a sinking feeling I took off down the road.To my horror, I began to watch it slide slowly down the mount until at around five miles from home it dropped right off the mount. Total drag.So, with the writing clearly on the wall, I removed the plate from inside the case and attached it to the outside.The upshot is, the case is now officially ugly, but that phone holder finally rips the phone from my hand. Yay. And it holds tight, no matter where I go or what the road condition is like.So, three stars for not being able to grip a phone with the plate inside the case.That just seems weird. We have space stations and new space telescopes. But we do not yet have the technology to hold a phone to the magnetic holder with the metal plate inside the case. Maybe someday.I have an update to share.I had contacted Vanmass directly about the problem I was having getting my phone to stick to their magnetic mount.The very next day I was contacted by Elsa from Vanmass, who engaged the issue completely. She obtained some info about my current phone case and asked for a picture of the case. She rapidly got back to me and indicated that the case design and construction was a little thick for the magnets. She asked if I would like a refund or another mount. I have elected for the mount. I am obtaining a thinner case and I am hopeful that this will cure the issue. Regardless, in my eyes, this is a five star company with an excellent product and top tier service.

The media could not be loaded.  I still own the previous version of one of these (vent clip only) and that now resides in the works car. That one just clipped to the vent just like the additional one actually included with this latest holder.All you have to do is unscrew the magnetic disc, clip off and clip on.Initially it looked like it may be weak when forcing the disc on but it is sturdy once persevered with. I would say that the rectangular magnets are better than the circle ones (for me anyway) simply due to more surface area and my occasional cack-handed attempts at exact placement. I would recommend this product and the adhesion to the dashboard is sound. I loved the addition of the wipes for the dashboard too.

This product has been great. My phone is quite heavy, with my shatterproof case and magnet attached etc, and it still continues to hold phone without the suction coming away.Would highly recommend

It's a good item and works perfectly on a flat surface. I didn't use it for what I intended in the car but it's pretty useful. Solid and strong Magnet!

The suction sticks/sucks well to the dash, magnet is strong enough, has good position flexibility. But way overpriced for what it is, and unless the bottom of the phone is resting on something expect a fair bit of wobble
