I ordered this for flat ironing my leave out for a sew in. It gets really hot, but you cannot control the temperature. I believe it’s 450 but I would have preferred the ability to turn down the temperature. I have used it on type 4 hair and it gets it very straight.

Perfect size to get the baby hair straight or curled for styling. Don’t have auto shut off!

Heats up really fast but does not have temperature control.Perfect for straightening course roots.If you have grey hair 450 is to much heat and will get your hair yellow if you pass over and over, so be careful and just make a quick light pass it really straightens hair quickly.

This flat iron obviously gets hot..my hair is thin and the smoke scared me so I haven't dared to grab a curl..lol will try and use them on unprocessed hair at a later date. But if you have coarse short hair this may be good for you..450 is too hot for my soft permed hair..just my opinion. ( African American permed pixie). Big Heat for 30 Bucks, I consider that a bargain for the thick haired ladies.

I'm a licensed Hair Stylist. The Pencil Flat Iron I purchased did not grip the hair properly. The iron plate is off and I had to go over the hair several times to get the hair straight. I couldn't return the Iron because I didn't use it within the return time frame.. As a Stylist, I've several Irons. My old Pencil Flat Iron stopped working so I went to Amazon site to fine a new one. Big mistake!!! My old Iron was purchased at my local Beauty Supply..
