It works! I used it to make a siberia sponge cake. Follow a RECIPE instead of exactly what's on the bag for best results for what your goal is because the powder will do it's thing no matter what.

Makes A Great, Firm Gelatin
I'm impressed with It's Just - Agar Agar Powder. I've never used a vegan gelatin before, and I have to say, this does a great job! It sets firmly and you can't taste it, which is always a bonus. Unfortunately, I made a horrible recipe with it! lol! I will be using it to make something fruity next time and am looking forward to trying it in a variety of recipes. It is easy to use too - just boil it with your water/liquid, and you'll see it start to thicken. Truthfully, I love that it isn't sourced from animal products, and I will be happy to order this again when I run out. It's also a great value!

Vegan gelatin without guarantee of purity
It's Just - Agar Agar Powder, Vegan Gelatin Substitute, 100% Plant Based Thickener, UnflavoredI got this specifically so that I could make jelled desserts for vegetarian friends. It says on the front that it's 100% plant based with no other ingredients. However... on the back it plainly states that while this particular product contains no wheat, gluten, milk, dairy, soy, egg, tree nuts, sesame, or shellfish, it's manufactured in a facility that uses all these things. I'll have a houseguest who is very allergic to shellfish, and I don't feel comfortable serving this to him. Back to Bob's Red Mill, I guess. See photo.
