Colron Refined Wood Dye 250ml Indian Rosewood

We decided to make our own shelves and the other half loved this colour, goes on well and looks great

Quite a few years ago I stained (as it was called then) 8 internal panel doors. One got damaged and needed replacement. I purchased what I thought was the same product but on arrival it was quite different. A change of formula meant that my previous method did not give the same result and therefore not the same result. I now have an unmatched new door. The older dye was a free flowing liquid, the new one a thicker cream, which is difficult to apply on larger surfaces.

Good colour and coverage.

Good colour but I found painting it on gives a better and faster result, wiping it with a cloth is OK if you just want a shade darker but I wanted to go from a pine colour to a dark wood so painting it on worked for me. Dries really fast as well so you need to work fast.

This is a great wood dye and have been using it for years - pleased that I could still find the colour I wanted. Camouflages a multitude of sins!

Not easy to use. Too thick and does not penetrate wood very well. Left a blotchy surface on the tulip wood I wanted to stain.

Terrible, i put 7 coats and it hasn't made any difference
