The range is surprisingly good, and the sound quality is clear enough for their little voices. They’re also really easy for them to use—no complicated buttons, just simple fun. The bright blue colour makes them easy to spot when they inevitably get left somewhere. They’ve even stood up to a few drops without any issues. Perfect for outdoor adventures and imaginative play, and they’ve quickly become a favourite toy!

When this twin pack of walkie talkies first arrived in their very small cardboard box, I didn't think they’d be that powerful. I thought, as kids toys, they might just manage to make the end of the garden. About 100 yards away.Though I did think they look really nice. With the little blue LED lights giving a pet like appearance to the radios. Somewhere between a puppy and a cute cartoon character. But you can't rely on looks alone,So, after adding three AA batteries to each radio, it was time for a test. An installation process that’s as simple as unscrewing the battery box lid on the back of each radio. Then sticking in the batteries.After that just press the power button in the middle and the radio's are ready for use. To talk, just press the button on the left hand side, To listen, don't press the button.The microphone is actually quite decent at picking up voices. Plus the speaker isn't too tinny either.They are also nice and lightweight, fitting comfortably into an adult sized hand.But the real surprise is with the range on these. In a straight line without any obstructions, for example a football field, they can easily manage the claimed 1000 feet. Even if one of you is inside your house and one outside they can still do a couple of hundred feet.Which for us is well handy. Because one of us can be in the shed while the other one is indoors.Thus, when it's time for dinner, you don't have to shout out the windows. Overall ? This is a very useful set of walkie talkies, especially given the low price.
