Have not tried for my use but was on line that product did not have garlic and onions when I tried to check ingredients they were not listed so I ordered only to find onion and garlic are ingredients and this item is a no return item. Actually ordered for my dog and she can not have garlic and onions

Tastes like Chicken
Half the time this tastes like chicken, but only when I order beef cubes and receive a can of chicken powder. Otherwise product works well.

Cubes were all over the box not to mention the box was dirty. Totally unusable and not eligible for return. Not Happy!!!

Love these. Part of any pretend beef dish now. Would not be without them. Faults? Trifle salty, but not overly.

Fantastic vegan stock cubes
I bought two packs - the beef ones and the chicken ones. I thought I'd be using the beef ones most because I wanted to make a vegan French onion soup (which I did). However, as my cooking varied from day to day, I found myself using the chicken ones more. They are lovely and savoury, and added a beautiful flavour to a carrot soup that I made, and many other dishes such as lentils in tomato sauce and tofu curry. Absolutely delicious.I put the beef ones in my onion soup, which turned out delicious, and also in vegan bolognese and Quorn steak sauce. Both the chicken AND the beef ones are highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians (and indeed anyone else!). They'd be fantastic in all types of soup and sauce, not to mention gravy and velouté.I know some people have raised the issue of the salt content in these cubes. To be honest I didn't notice any unpleasant saltiness or any type of unbalanced flavour in the sauces and soups that I made. I only used one cube per recipe though - I didn't overdo it.My only slight concern, and the reason for four and not five stars, is that they're just a bit on the pricey side. But not so pricey that I won't buy them again.Highly recommended.
