I was goofing around with this before my heat-treating oven arrived. My wife and I were marveling at how heat-proof they seemed, so she took out a lighter and I did the movie scene where a guy holds his hand over a lighter to show how tough he is. Not what the glove is made for! It burned a hole all the way through to my palm. WAY less heat resistant than a standard 'hot mitt' you would get at Walmart. I try to grab my heat treated items and move them to the tempering oven after quenching, and I wind up using a regular oven mitt. I do, however, wear these when I am reaching into the oven, as they cover my arms up to the elbow. I DO use them, and they work for ambient high temperatures, but they do not work and are not recommended for metal that gets up to 250 or more. Grabbing my heat treating tray (nearly 300 degrees) is too much for these gloves. In come the oven mitts.Again, these do work for using tongs to remove heated metal from the oven, and they keep me from burning my watch and arm hair...but DONT hold a candle to them, and don't grab your chicken out of the oven with them.

They are made well but they do not fit well you have no finger movement but very well made

I ordered 2 pairs for smelting copper casting with propane foundry 10 kg and this work great . They fit comfortable and no problems with high temperature heating on my arms was felt . i liked the way they came up to my elbows for added safety.

This option indicates that it is for high temperatures and look at how the gloves were with a single use, the worker indicated that when he put his hands in the industrial oven with a capacity of 300 degrees, he felt the heat a lot, in fact he had to remove his hands immediately because If I left them any longer, the gloves would melt.Could have severely burned my technician if he had not been alert, it would have also caused a lawsuit from my technician.

Used to use two layers of leather welding gloves, this does a better job than that
