The media could not be loaded.  So far, I’ve really enjoyed using this hair mask! For reference, I have thick, course hair that tends to lean towards the frizzy side. As such, I’m always looking for ways to hydrate my hair because I struggle with it always feeling dry. I was excited to try this because the formula contains L-amino acids and rice protein to protect hair from damage while also providing a boost of moisture through a blend of oils (coconut, jojoba, avocado) and shea butter. Part of what sets this mask apart is it being “weightless,” which means it’s suppose to add volume and bounce instead of weighing down your hair.To start, I love the scent of this mask! It’s aromatic and is certainly the strongest floral scented hair mask I’ve ever used. To me, it smells exactly like you would expect a luxury product to smell. The magnolia notes in this mask are the strongest followed by the rose and neroli undertones. If you’re very sensitive to fragrance, this isn’t the mask for you. Just to note, the scent fades immediately once the mask is washed out, so you’re only left with a faint floral kiss of fragrance, which is very pleasant overall.The mask itself is rich and thick, so a little goes a long way. After shampooing, I left the mask in my hair for 10 minutes. I dried my hair as I normally would; however, I didn’t add any of my usual styling products because I wanted to see how my hair felt after only using the mask. In the end, I was very pleased with the outcome. My hair felt soft and silky to the touch. It was also less frizzy than it usually is after drying. To be honest, I didn’t even miss having my usual products in my hair. The instructions say you can leave this mask on overnight as well. I haven’t done that yet, but I like that I have that option.As for the claims of being able to provide volume, unfortunately, I didn’t notice any real effect on my hair in that regard. Of course, that’s not really something that matters to me as I care more about the hydration factor, which this mask certainly achieved as my hair felt both healthy and nourished. While I have thoroughly enjoyed using this mask as it really is a luxe product, I will say that the price of the mask is quite high for being only 8 oz. So, I could see this being a deterrent for some people when deciding whether to try this or not. If I had an expendable income, I would definitely repurchase it. However, for those that are more cognizant of cost, the search for a great mask may not end here.

I love the volume this mask gives my hair….. my hair is on the dry side and this definitely helps hydrate it and gives it the love my hair needs!

I have long, curly hair that has been lightened. Considerably. By a gifted professional with mad skills that border on sorcery. Ignored, it can get dry. It tends to get frizzy everywhere but the desert of Arizona. It threatens to break if not coddled. This product produces a temporary improvement in my hair's condition that vanishes with the next shampoo. I have slathered it on and kept it in overnight, I have used it after shampooing and let it sit for ten minutes before rinsing, and I have employed it like I would any other conditioner. I have even applied it, swaddled my head in a plastic wrap turban and a warm towel for half an hour to achieve maximum penetration. The results were by and large the same: minimal. I have not noticed a significant reduction on the frizz front or a dramatic change of any sort. At this price, I expect miraculous, and have gotten it with other products, which I'm going back to, hat in hand. I am no skinflint when it comes to hair care products and, IMHO, there are better solutions to hair challenges out there, especially at a premium price point. It smells nice and my hair feels conditioned, but not transformed. I really hate saying this, but I'm not a fan. If this weren't such an investment, I'd say give it a shot, it might be just perfect for you. But I cannot, in all good conscience, do so, although I appreciated the opportunity to try it. I think this conditioner for the days I just need a quick wash and some moisture. I have Afro textured hair and generally need something with more weight for deep conditioning. Thai would be ideal for someone with medium coarse hair.

This PHILIP B. weightless volumizing hair masque is creamy and thick. It hydrates and moisturizes my hair without leaving it greasy or oily. It makes my hair so soft and smooth. It also helps with frizz, and my hair has more volume and bounce after I use it.

I’ve used this a few times and I feel like my hair is slightly softer after use perhaps? But I haven’t seen significant results as of now. I only leave it on for about 10 minutes after shampooing.The scent is a little heavy for me, but I’m sensitive to scents.I’m going to use it for a while longer consistently and perhaps leave it on a bit longer, and I shall update my review if I see further improvement to my hair or if my hair is hindered by this product for some reason

It is a great product, smells lovely ( like I am in a salon!) and it makes my hair soft, not so much volumizing though, but I would never spend so much money for it, I have had other products that were cheaper that felt the same on my hair.
