I ordered this tool for the sole purpose of using it on my thighs. I have a lot of discomfort along the outside of my thighs and I was hoping this tool might help break up or soothe whatever may be causing my discomfort.The wooden tool is almost entirely smooth (except for some areas that weren't sanded quite as nicely). One side has a handle and the other features several wooden nubs. The nubs are all smooth and glide nicely across your body.I have found the handle to be easy to hold and use on my thighs but I could easily use it to massage my partner as well. It's a handy tool that helps prevent hand fatigue, which is extremely important as I struggle with carpal tunnel.Any claims that this will shape or sculpt your body are false. The only way you can do that is through a healthy diet and exercise. Don't get this product thinking it will change your shape. It's great for massage, but it's not going to get rid of your unwanted fat pockets (though I wish it would!).The quality is nice, though I do think it's a little overpriced. There are some spots on my tool that aren't as smooth as they should be. The areas that come in contact with my body are fine, but the whole piece should have the same care put into the smoothness. I'm pleased overall, but I think the quality is slightly lower than expected for this price point.

I love to use this for my hips. My glutes get so tight that I needed a way to help keep them loose between appointments with my massage therapist. This tool is great - it provides even pressure and I can adjust things easily my leaning my weight into it. I've been able to better manage my chronic pain with this tool.
