Very nice
I had about eight other controllers The this one for the price keeps you Very good quality and it seems to last yes as long as the original Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 I have purchase the really expensive Pro controllers for the PlayStation 3 But these works pretty good for the money and they're comfortable in my hand they're not so small like some of the other ones

Finally! The PS3 has a good controller!!!!
I have never really liked the Dualshock 3 controller for the PS3. It always felt a little cheap and the triggers were a whole lot of awful. The retrofighters defender controller feels like a proper controller for the PS3. It feels more like the Dualshock 4 controller, though, I will admit it is just a tad cheaper/lighter feeling than an official DS4.As a controller for the PS3, though, it is a revelation. It functions flawlessly with the PS3, including the ability to power a PS3 on using the home button. It is a little more expensive than the counterfeit PS3 controllers that are out there, but is works great and feels great. I have several official Dualshock 3 controllers and I haven't touched any of them since I bought this. It has made me want to use the PS3 again. And one other thing... IT USES USB-C. I am so ready for a world where everything uses usb-c. This brings me one step closer to that world.

Very excellent controller, with a few minor issue
I love this controller, the fact that it keeps all the same functionality as the normal dualshock 3 controller (including pressure sensitive face buttons!)is amazing. I love the more modern shape and how it uses USB C and triggers that don't feel awful to use. I do have a few minor issues though. R2 and L2 are a little on the sensitive side and idk about other people but I sometimes have trouble pressing down L1 and R1 for extended period of time such as for shooting games, sometimes it feels like button doesn't press itself. It could be the way I press those buttons combined with the shape but it's only a minor issue and doesn't really show up a lot. The other gripe is the vibration seems a bit on the strong side. I've never had problem with vibration and always had perfered it to be on in games but in some games it was just too much and became annoying, I just wish they used slightly weaker vibration motors. The dpad is a bit on the shallow side, especially on the bottom and the right side. It's still usable for 2D games but not ideal. Overall it's a great replacement that has minor but annoying issues when they show up but work perfectly for the majority of games.UPDATE: After a week or two of using this controller I have found a few more issues and differences. So the really strong vibration only appears to happen in a few games for some reason, some games have no issue while others are just awful to play. I mainly had this problem with Rachet and Clank: into the nexus where the vibration was annoyingly awful, but games earlier in the series didn't have this issue, so perhaps this vibration issue is variable. I've also noticed that sometimes if the controller is plugged in the motion controls can get messed up, to where I have to use the analog stick along with tilting the controller for the motion controls to work, a very bizarre issue but this only happened to me once. I also appear to have issues with deadzones at diagonals, as trying to select weapons on the diagonal part of the weapon wheel is hard and I have to usually resort to using the Dpad. Not sure if these issues are due to me getting a bad controller or are an issue with all controllers but despite this I would still recommend it as for the majority of the time I prefer to use this controller.

The PS3 is now complete
This is finally the controller for the PS3 we have been waiting for without needing an adapter. Once you connect the controller the first time it will quickly link up and you can then turn on and turn off your PS3 with this controller's home button. The sixaxis is good as well. I played Beyond: Two Souls for the PS3 which uses a decent amount of the gyro and it worked great. This is a step up from their original defender and hopefully their next step will be hall effect and back buttons but for now, this is a great buy. Even if you have a working original Dualshock 3 as I do, I still highly recommend this.
