I have spent a lifetime looking for the perfect root beer. Surely some exotic or little-known craft-brewed root beer would take the crown. But no....it is that mass-marketed brand from Coca-Cola that tops them all. Hint: open the can and let it sit unrefrigerated for a day or so It enhances the flavor even more and, strangely enough, the fact that it is room temperature makes it even tastier.

Even though the ingredients listed on both are the same and in the same order the taste of the two products is different. The classic differentiating bite of the Barq's root beer, both regular and diet, is missing in the Zero which makes it seem a little more sweet. It is the absence of the bite which ruins it. Not as pronounced as the new coke fiasco of the past but same epic fail result in that I won't be buying it anymore... and I am sooo going to miss it... five star for diet, less than zero for Zero...

After months of not being able to find this anywhere, I was thrilled to finally find it again. I stocked up this time. In my opinion, this is THE best diet root beer on the market.Happy about it and can't wait to get it.UPDATE: Received item already! Way ahead of schedule. Happy about it. All boxes in perfect condition. 3 12-packs per box securely ensconced in thick bubble wrap. All 12-packs undamaged. No leaking anywhere. I am extremely happy and highly recommend this seller and this diet root beer which in my opinion is THE best. Thanks again.

I have ordered this twice during the pandemic when going to the store is not an option. The price is cheaper than buying from the store and it is rather hard to find Barq's. This is really good root beer. I need to avoid caffeine and am happy to be able to order this product. Delivery is prompt and on time.

One pack of cans was clearly dropped, then put back in the box, which was taped up. So most of the cans were misshapen.This is annoying, but when poured into a glass, nobody knows the difference.

The soda is great and the delivery store (TNG) was and always has been terrific. I would only buy from them.

I ordered 2 of the 3 packs of 12 cans each...total of 72 cans. The outside boxes were soggy on the bottom which was an ominous sign of things to come once the package was open. Low and behold...due to the poor attempt at bubble wrapping the contents...some of the cans were exploded and misshapen. Soggy cartons and a sticky mess that needed to be cleaned. In total the loss was only four cans...but come on...you know this can be ruptured...you know this is shipping and UPS doesn't care...do a better job at preparing it for the tortures to come. I don't anticipate that I will purchase again as Amazon clearly doesn't want to be in the soda business. I will quench my thirst for Diet Barq's elsewhere...I recommend you do the same!!!
