DO NOT LISTEN TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this on purpose to prove that the reviews on here are pathetic. Here is a video demonstrating how easy it is to pop through the holes when using a bit of initiative. I used my quilt to cover my hand to avoid any pain when pushing the needles through. I tried and failed to rip the cap as demonstrated in the video also. You get what you pay for, the actual quality of this is brilliant, it will not take you hours on end to pop the hole through. You won’t have blisters on your fingers if you use your brain. You won’t stab yourself in the head if you pop the holes first. It has to be big because not everyone has the same size head but it will still work.HAPPY HIGHLIGHTING EVERYONE!Side note- my bedding is in the wash.

Perfectly good highlighting cap
The reviews for highlighting caps are hilarious or ridiculous, which ever way you look at it. I delayed about 10 days because of the reviews of all the caps and eventually gave up and just chose this one. Lucky me! The hook is very excellent. The cap has a good rim to keep dye away from your face and is strongly made rubber with no pre-punctured holes, as I knew already, because.... the write up doesn't say it is! It took me about an hour to make all the holes, it wasn't difficult to do, unless you are a small child. I feared the hook might impale my hand and cause me to bleed to death judging from the last reviewer! It is a challenge to ensure you've pricked all the holes with the hook but it is worth taking the time to try to do this if, like me, you want thin strands to pull through the hole. I had no difficulty at all in puncturing missed holes when the cap was on my head but I found that the holes made after the cap was on my head were bigger so significantly more strands pulled through.I didn't rip or tear one single hole, they all punctured perfectly but I was relaxed and understood that I had to do this first before I spent a further 3 hours on pulling the strands through. This process is not for the impatient, or hysterical.

Do not buy dangerous
I just got this item and I'm really not happy .... The product feels grate to hold and look at and it feels amazing ... But here's where the product becomes a real joke ... The holes in the cap haha... There's 0 holes in the cap so you have to sit there with a metal hook and stab the cap ... And if you even tryed to put a hole into the cap you have to use a stupid ammount of force which could split the cap and then really harm your hand because you have to use your parm to jam the hook into it to make a hole which could harm you so even if you put it on your head and tryed to make a hole youed cause majour damage to some oneMy advice is just avoid at all costs to dangers to much effort and breaks easy

Lovely natural highlights- DON’T listen to negative reviews!
Found absolutely no fault with the product whatsoever, the process of highlighting your hair does take a while but when I used foils last time that also took a while and the results were SO much better with the cap than with the foils. Have left a photo of my hair this morning after highlighting last night, still need to tone it but you can see how well distributed the highlights are.Don’t be put off by the bad reviews, you just need to fully know what you’re doing before you start, here’s some tips for using the cap that may be helpful for you if you’re wanting to buy it/ just bought one:- Talc the inside of the cap before you use it, this will reduce some of the tension when you’re pulling the hair.- You need to poke the holes BEFORE you put it on your head, and don’t use the hook to poke the holes. You’ll need something like a dart or kebab skewer, it should take you 10 minutes max. Poke from the INSIDE out, you don’t need to bore out the entire outline of the circle, just one poke is enough.- You don’t need to use every hole, fold up the front so that the first row of holes at the bottom is sitting on your hairline, this is the first row you should go up from.- Unless you have a really good two way mirror set up, you’ll need someone else to do the back and the top of your head for you, it’s almost impossible to find the right angles for pulling the hair through when you can’t see the holes. I’ll be topping up the highlights in a few weeks and will not be trying it by myself again because I almost went insane.- It does work with long hair (mine is halfway down my back), just accept that it’s going to hurt a little bit on the crown of your head.- Get your bleach/ dye right up close to the cap, just don’t push it in too much. I had no issues with bleeding. Wash off the bleach/ dye while the cap is still on so you don’t make a massive mess, then REALLY gently pull the cap upwards and off your head after you’ve rinsed.Again, product itself was absolutely perfect for what I wanted, and it’s reusable! Very worth giving it a go :)

Very sturdy and resistant cap
I bought this cap on amazon but for some reasons the order is not marked as delivered so this review won't be marked asverified purchase. The cap is very resistant e with lots of holes to pierce. This preliminary work will take some time as the material is very thick. It's ESSENTIAL THAT YOU PIERCE IN THE LITTLE Circles as they have a REINFORCED border to prevent the cracks you may have seen in other pictures. That damage is linked to inappropriate piercing not to low quality of the cap.I have a quite big head (60 cm circumference) and thick hair and the CAP WAS QUITE COMFORTABLE. It's essential that you ensure that the cap is as closer as possible to the scalp or the highlight won't cover the root. You will find a hook (a crochet) to pull your hair through.WashableRecommended.
