Works perfect on 12valve Cummins
Used on my 93 Dodge with a 12 valve Cummins. I put some anti-seize on the threads to prevent galling, but it worked great. I used the Cummins seal and wear sleeve kit. Tool did not have any problem installing the wear sleeve with seal at a straight and proper depth, for the price it saves you a lot of headache

Fits First Generation Diesel
Very good quality, I placed seal a little crooked on the crank shaft. Installer corrected slight misalignment and set seal squarely to correct depth. Comes with 4 sets of studs when two would do. Remember to use liquid soap on outside edge of seal. Rear crankcase seal cannot be installed properly without tool, despite what video you may see.

Does the job.
Excellent tool. Made short work of my rear main seal installation.

Cummins rear main installer
Tool itself worked well, nice markings for what generation you are working on, I give it a 4/5 because I had to repair the provided hardware from some damaged threads. Aside from that it was great,

Missing hardware and impact damage to critical machined surface
Item showed up with no hardware. From what I hear thats ok, because the hardware they typically supply is of the poorest quality and doesn't even work. I will have to source my own and I guess thats ok as I was going to have to anyhow. There is a small ding on one of the machined edges I will have to blend out so it doesn't damage my $170 Cummins rear main seal. I am not very satisfied with this purchase due to these quality issues. Not even sure who to place blame upon.

Makes it easy
Worked perfect!!! Just tighten it evenly for an even press in!!

Economical Seal Installer
The installer itself is designed correctly and pushes both the seal and the metal wear sleeve into the Cummins crankshaft seal housing to the proper depth. However, the hardware that is sent along is poor quality. The nuts are so soft they galled up the installing stud threads during only one use. I turned each nut in small increments around and around until the tool was fully seated but the hardware is so weak, that it can hardly be used more than once without repairing or replacing the nuts and studs.

Works just fine.
Like everyone else here, I had to install a new rear main seal in my 6.7 during a manual swap. The tool works just fine. Just be aware that the studs are soft grade-A Chinesium. That being said, I installed a rear seal with the wear sleeve all together and it seems to have worked just fine.
