Household Essentials 7172 Rolling Laundry Hamper with Heavy-Duty Canvas Bag | Antique Bronze Frame

I was looking for a rolling, fold-able laundry hamper w/ a removable fabric basket which could itself go in the wash, and this was the closest I found. Based on my own wants, and on reviews, I figured I'd need to modify this, ergo the "project".NOTE: if you find this cart doesn't roll easily, pls check its wheel locks; 2 of the wheels have locks, and I was surprised the ones on mine, that I was obliviously rolling around, were engaged; I should have known better.1st mod: swapped out the stock wheels for industrial-dolly ones I had lying around; makes the cart a dream to roll2nd mod: zip-tied a bakeware cooling rack -- $3 from amazon -- to one of the bottom rails; this makes for a hinged bottom rack, that supports a fully-loaded bag whose weight may otherwise undo its velcro attachment. Works great -- can transport a ton of laundry.3rd mod: got rid of the handles (which are "cute" but way too fiddly), and attached bag directly to frameAll in all this was a fun hobby-project, and I'm very happy with the end product.

I really love the look of this laundry basket - it's sleek and rolls nicely. Very easy to put together, in under 10 minutes.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that if the bag is empty, it tends to pop off its frame. Like, a lot. The design depends on having weight inside the bag to keep the bag on the frame. Small design flaw, I know, since most of the time it does have something in it. But irritating when you are doing laundry and you empty it and it crumples to the ground.Still, I would recommend it.

I wish I'd had this a long time ago. It is just the right size, holds a lot, is very maneuverable, and collapses together when not in use so it doesn't take up space. It looks nice too. Some reviews have complained about the wheels falling off or breaking. I think it's possible they have put too much into it. When I fill mine up I have enough for one really big load or two smaller ones, and I've had no trouble at all with mine. But if they do break, they can be easily replaced with bigger/stronger ones from the hardware store.

The Velcro holding the bag on is decent, but not strong enough for a giant pile of laundry. I actually took off the little hanging parts that are supposed to hold the Velcro loops and just attached it to the main section - The bent part of the attaching hooks should be bent more to stay on better - but it works great without them! If you are short on space and do laundry fairly often, it's perfect. Well made.

The whole ensemble is very good. However, the canvas bag ripped on the sides after couple of uses. Had to submit for a replacement! Hopefully the next replacement won't rip !

UPDATE:Turns out that this thing is a piece of junk. I said that the casters were "not the best" because they tend to roll a little rough. Well in fact, they are really flimsy. Within two months, one broke and was no longer useful. Now, just five months after purchase, three of the casters have broken off making this thing good only for holding clothes. It's useless to transport them since carrying it is very awkward and not the point anyway.DO NOT BUYIt's a hamper so if it doesn't hold clothes, I'm gonna be bummed. Thankfully, this hamper fufills its first and most important duty. Clothes go in and stay in till I take them out. Yippie.Why not five stars then? Well, first of all, it's hamper. Hard to get that excited about a hamper. But, the casters are not the best. The thing rolls and gets from place to place, but it's not the smoothest ride. Still, they haven't fallen off yet so, good. Second, the way the bag part is hung on the frame part can be a bit persnickety. Mostly when I am pulling stuff out they can fall off. Not a big deal and the bag is easy to pull off and tip out onto the bed for folding, so it's good overall.

Love my new laundry cart. Easy to put together, works well.

I like the product convenient to use. I dont like the color, i want colored brown. Are you selling the canvas bag as future use.
