Q: Is the filter element replaceable? If so, what size is the filter?

Filter is replaceable. It is not a standard PM 2.5 size but they will fit and work. OEM filters are available from Ransking.

It uses the PM2.5 filters. You can Google it for more info. As for replacements, you can buy them in Amazon. The PM2.5 filters seems to come in a standard size.

Q: Will this mask work for Fiberglass Insulation?

No.This mask is not worth a dime. I purchased it and found the whole thing absolutely worthless. The paper part that goes inside is little more than a paper towel. The plastic part kept OPENING on me as I was working with toxic chemicals and dust. I had dust in my nose and lungs. Finally, I gave up on it. I’d go out to Lowes or one of the other big box stores and see what they have in stock. Look in the paint section. That’s what I ended up doing. I found a simple one for $35 and wow! What a difference. I didn’t smell anything while working and I felt my lungs were clear. The difference between this crap mask and the one I got at Lowes was like night and day. Good luck.

Q: Am I correct to assume the exhaust is unfiltered?

Correct. Wear a cloth mask over it to protect others. It may work better at protecting others that way than a typically worn cloth mask because the fit of a cloth mask around the exhale valve would be much better than between cloth mask and face (usually huge gaps around nose ridge, beards, etc.).
