Batman & Robin Adventures Vol. 2

As is the case with most TV tie-ins, so too does Batman And Robin Adventures lose steam after its parent cartoon gets taken off the air. I gave it an extra star for the Mask Of The Phantasm follow-up, and the Joker and Mad Hatter stories. Otherwise, not a patch on The Batman Adventures, or even Batman And Robin Adventures Vol.1....

A must have for any Batman TAS fan.

Some of the stories are good. There are some continuity points in the book from the show.

The stories based off of the animated series were among some of the most tightly written, entertaining Batman stories written in the 90's, maybe because the stories themselves are self-contained, and not part of some long miniseries. Each story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. There is equal focus on characterization as well as action. Like another reviewer stated not as strong as Volume 1 but there are no real dogs in this volume. Excellent cast of villains. Always like when the Dynamic Duo work together and not against each other.
