Rubber Cane Tips 7/8 Inch - Set of 4 Pieces

Update:I really wanted to like these cane tips. They have just one really annoying problem. They leave black marks on hardwood flooring. I have neuropathy from chemotherapy (which I survived, and am now cancer free so far). It affects my balance - Which is why I use a cane. If these cane tips slip on a hardwood floor they leave a nasty black mark. I did discover that the mark is easily removed from hardwood flooring with WD-40 and paper towels - Be sure to wipe it up well so the floor isn’t slick afterwards. I didn’t notice the marks at first, but some of them were big and very dark where I had accidentally bumped my cane with my foot while walking. It doesn’t appear to leave marks on carpet or ceramic tile that I can see. But I am getting tired of cleaning up the marks on our hardwood floors. So I have had to lower my review.Original Review:The expression is “Plastic slips, rubber grips”. These are a nice rubber tips that grip well for its size. And at 4 for the price, I’m not too worried about the durability. The tips are stretchy and slipped pretty easily onto my cane that is 1/16” oversized from the nominal 3/4”. My original tip was more of a plastic than rubber on this particular cane and this rubber tip is an improvement.The good:Reasonably soft and grippy rubber - Goes on pretty easy and stays on.Good price.Seem to be pretty well made.Could use Improvement:Ideally it would be nice if the bottom of the tip were a bit wider and slightly thicker.It would be good for people with hollow canes if a 3/4” OD metal or nylon disk were included to keep a hollow cane from cutting through the tip. (The cane I am now using is solid, but I also have a hollow one that tends to wear through tips without disk or washer to spread the force out.

Fit the bottom of my walking stick perfectly! Now it doesn't slip on the floors! Just what I needed!

Rubber Cane Tips 7/8 Inch - Set of 4 Pieces The rubber cane tips came packaged simply in a small Ziploc-style style baggy. At first glance, I thought they looked a little small, but luckily I was proved wrong in that impression. It was harder to get the old tip off my cane than it was to put this new one on. The rubber is soft enough that it slides onto the cane tip easy enough, and it's a tough enough style of rubber that walking around with it for a week hasn't worn it appreciably, even though part of that walking was on the concrete. That, added to the fact that this comes with four pieces in the kit, I think makes them a good value as they should last for quite a little while.

These are exactly as shown and described in the product details. They even look better than the original cane tips. They have an excellent tactile feel, not slippery. Hopefully, it will maintain this quality as it's being used. Appreciate getting 4, which allows spares to be kept for handy replacement.My sister has a number of canes, and used 2 of these replacement tips on 2 of her favorite canes. Since they're favorites, they get used more often, hence the tips get worn. She's happy with the improvement.Having a good, effective cane tip is critical for cane stability and function. Based on the apparent quality and fully meeting expectations, this product earns a 4.75 - 5 star rating.

These rubber cane tips are flexible enough to fit over a slightly larger-than-specified cane or walking stick, and that relative softness provides good traction on smooth, hard surfaces. Despite being relatively soft, the on I have installed is holding up well, and doesn't show any more wear than I expect to see.
