Q: How big of an area will one 16 oz jar cover?

The pigments in this brand are rich and thick. They mix well with other brands too. How much coverage you get depends on several factors. First what color are you using and what color are you attempting to cover? Do you plan to dilute it to thin out the paint? Are you mixing it with another color? Or are planning to use it straight from the jar? I use these paints for wall murals but I always thin it with either water or Valspar clear mixing glaze which helps it spread futher and dry slower. There are many other brands of mediums and glazes besides Valspar that extend acrylic paint. If the wall is older and dryer or has any texture you'll need more. If your painting in Canvas than one jar of color spread thin will cover a very large canvas. I'd estimate about a 3ft x 5ft canvas of solid color with no dilution.
