Up intil now I have gone through 2 not very expensive bread making machines.I love homemade bread, so decided to spend a bit more this time, it’s definitely been worth it! I just wish I hadn’t wasted my money on the first 2 and gone straight to this bread maker. For one thing, which sounds silly until you have your machine and use it for the first time, but it comes with a very good instruction booklet, which believe me makes an awful lot of difference!I would definitely buy this machine. One tip that I learned the hard way is to ensure that you have engaged the bread tin with the base of the machine properly. If you turn the black blade it should be engaged with the machine, so you can feel that it’s engaged. Unfortunately on my first try I just put the bread tin in, thought that was it and of course 3 hours later my bread ingredients were just as I left them . Also down the bottom of the controls of the machine, bottom left, it’s very small and easy to miss, but it’s the number of what sort of bread you’re making. Follow the instructions to get the correct number for the bread that you’re making. I’m sorry but I’m still getting the hang of this, and don’t mean to sound patronising to all of you experts, but this is my beginners guide or advice that I could have used!Happy baking and here’s to a lovely loaf!

Have ordered for last 2 months via Subscribe & Save. Great apart from the "Best Before Dates" which on both deliveries was 23 July which when you consider the latest delivery was ordered for 1st July delivery [albeit received on 27 June] is really not a reasonable BBE date! I usually make a loaf a week and this will take me past the BBE date. I am wondering what date will be on my 1 August Subscribe & Save delivery if it is yet again the 23 July it will definitely be OUT OF DATE when received!!! I love this mix and will probably have to stop ordering on S&S if Amazon do not provide good dates. I will probably order direct from Alpine because I can at least check with them before ordering what the actual BBE date is!?! AMAZON TAKE NOTE PLEASE.

The media could not be loaded. I just finished baking another my 2nd. My 1st attempt I over baked this bread and it is still perfect only fault of mine is the crust is hard. if i had not forgotten i was baking it the bread would be perfect. I used a mixer I bought on amazon very few instructions and easy to follow for others I had to quadruple read, but a lot easier than any other bread mix I have ever bought, Luke warm water into the mix and some kneading and standing to rise. into bread pan and then oven, the instructions provided two temperatures one being for fan assisted ovens. I am eating it now baked it last evening or night. i would recommend this bread mix.

My only gripe I have with this flour is theres not a lot of malt flavour (shame)otherwise it would be 5 ×

I think this bread is great. It has a lovely malty taste and keeps well. I freeze the bread. My whole family love it and it is a good addition to all the other loaves and cakes by Wright's. The seller is brilliant ; fast,well packed deliveries. Can recommend 100%.
