Just what we needed
We needed to create a separation for our sweet girl. This was easily installed and has created the perfect separation. We did find we needed to work with the adjustment of the distance between the bars as our 55 lb Australian Shepherd figured out how to crawl under the bottom rung to get into the back seat. She is a clever girl. Once we adjusted, it worked great.

Good but Could be Better!
Not too complicated..........awkward, but not complicated. It fits well and is a sturdy barrier. My only complaint is that the bars easily move up and down when my car is in motion when it is on a bumpy gravel road and when my dog, a pug, decides he wants to get through to the passenger seat. The problem is that the nut/screw system does not stay tight. They need to be tightened after every outing, and sometime during the outing. I'm not off road driving, this is just general everyday driving. My suggestion would be a different type of tightening system that would actually stay tight!

Looks Great - Functions Poorly
It’s very cheaply designed. It lasted two months before the clips that hold the bars together broke. Save your money and look for another brand. This one won’t last and there’s no warranty on this item.

Escape artist laughs at this barrier.
Purchased to keep our 65lb samoyed out of the seats in our Yukon XL. To be fair he has been allowed to ride in the back seats. The barrier assembled easily and has a nice appearance. It adjusted to fit the cargo area well.I put it in the middle of the cargo area away from the rear seat. I positioned the bars evenly with the lower bar less than a foot off the floor.First try. I put the dog in for an hour. He crawled under the lower bar.I then moved the guard up to the seat back and re-positioned the 3 bars to block him above the seat back. A much tighter spacing.Second try. I put him in again for 10 minutes on a pizza run.I found him on the seats again. He forced his way between the bars. They were displaced vertically on one side for him to fit. He just got up there and forced his way past.I then tightened everything up and duct taped the bars to stay in position vertically and pulled out the slides to an inch of the glass.Third try. I put him in for an hour. I found him on the seats again. He had pushed in the slide bars inward for an easy escape. They have only friction to stop them and I failed to tape them. I wasn't able to watch him, but I bet it only took a couple minutes to get through each time. I figure he must be wondering why I put him back behind bars when he knows he should be on the seats.I'm not sure if I try to secure the slides with tape he will try to go through some other way and i'm not sure I want to test it for fear he will do damage. I think I goofed by not making it as tough as possible the first time. Also I think he might have been watching "The Great Escape" with us once too often.I had been successfully using a piece of plywood before I got this barrier, but tough to see past it.I'm afraid this dog needs a kennel to secure him which is also hard to see past. Back to the drawing board.

Assembly is a challenge
This looks really nice in the back of my 2017 Ford Explorer. The inner packaging had been opened and from the scratches, had been assembled before. However, it didn’t effect the functionality but it was irksome. This barrier has ALOT of flexibility in adjustment for different size vehicles. It works well. The down side is assembly. The horizontal bars are held in place by silver wing nuts. The wings of the nut run into the bar while tightening. My fingered were chewed to bits trying to tighten the nuts with a needle nose plier on the bolt side and a work gloves hand scraping the wing nut over the nearest bar. Ouch! All is well that ends well and now that it’s assembled it is easy to put in the truck or remove when necessary.

Keeps my lab off my lap!
Husband said easy to assemble, but not necessarily easy to install (firmly) in my 4Runner. I've taken my anxious lab out in my car 3 or 4 times since installing this barricade. Its sturdy, but each time it seems to become a little lose (probably from my dog leaning on it or applying pressure) and requires some tightening. Glad it doesnt rattle or shake while driving. My 80 lb lab would give this a terrible review since I used to fold the seats down and he had freedom with the entire back area of my car. LOL. Those days are gone and I feel much safer driving down the highway with him confined to only the cargo area.

Caution, you will be ripped off
Hey, at least it's a barrier between two things......That's the only good thing I can say about this item. Let me get to the bad parts...1) cheap parts: the tubing and threaded rod are just junk cheap parts. For $72 this is the most ridiculously overpriced item I have ever purchased.2) who the **** designed this thing? I mean the "threaded rods" that support the height of the barrier and make it adjustable aren't even secured in there. You basically have a large bolt with wing nuts to adjust the height. When transporting this thing to the car you have to carry it in pieces. Extremely poor engineering.3) the wing nuts which hold the tubing in place are too large. It's super difficult to spin them because the tubing gets in the way.4) did I mention how poorly it's designed and how for $72 you are absolutely being ripped off. Whoever makes this probably cost them $3.50 to make.I hope you read this review before purchasing. I will be returning it.

Buena compra
Solucionó mis problemas, aunque es un poco complejo de ajustarlo bien, una vez puesto funciona perfecto, yo lo tengo en mi camioneta de forma permanente y cuando subo a los perros no lo tumban y se quedan en su lugar. Buena compra
