Pennington100536576 UltraGreen Lawn Fertilizer, 14 LBS, Covers 5000 Sq Ft

About 4 yrs ago a fellow coworker of mine suggested that I use this. He stated to me that he's been using this since the 80's. Also he conveyed to me that stores have been removing this brand in a span from the shelves in effort to push the Scotts brand. I took his advice and I was very pleased with the results. I've been using it since. Also I turned quite a few of my family members onto this brand(Pennington Ultra Green) I refuse to use anything else. Pennington has a variety of lawn products and that's what I'm sticking with.

Fertilized lawn and watered right after. Two days later lawn is very green and lush. Great product! Update; have been using this fertilizer for two months now and my lawns are absolutely beautiful,used several different other products in the past and this one brought my lawns back from yellow and dieing! You have to be sure and water it in to the lawn after applying!! Excellent product!

I used a hand spreader and did a light spread over my front yard. It's been awhile since putting down any fertilizer. We have had quite a bit of rain and my yard is greening up. I will be putting down a little more since we are expecting more rain. So far I have not been disappointed. My grass is growing like crazy and it's much greener. No problems with burning applying this in late spring while weather is still cooler and we have plenty of rain.

I like the color of my grass, the grass grows very fast, very easy to use, the quality is great and the size is perfectly.

This was $24 in July. It works great but I can get scots max which is just as good for a fraction the cost. Sad.

At $24 a bag, it has 30-0-4 NPK which is what my Texas lawn needed. I spread this at 7pm on Sunday and immediately watered. It worked great and the lawn has thickened a little and has dark green color within 7 days. I’d definitely recommend but i’ve now gotten a cheaper option at walmart. I water my lawn thrice a week. (Two water days and one extra day for 5 mins due to the heat).

I used this late winter/early spring in Central Florida on my not so great St. Augustine & Bahia mixed lawn with lots of bare patches and plenty of weeds. This worked great to get the grasses to grow in very thick, along with increasing the spread of the St. Augustine grass. I opted to avoid weed control chemicals and utilize a fertilizer alone to identify the patches and I am happy that this has actually helped the grass crowd out the weeds. The price, and effectiveness of this fertilizer puts this at the top of my list for a year long general purpose fertilizer, and the additional iron makes for a lovely dark green lawn.

I have new sod and wanted to bring a sodded area with the new stuff and applied about 2.5 lbs or less on a 750 square ft area and followed directions with rotary spreader setting and watering in 2 times 40 min. The grass is Kentucky Blue. I am not new at this. I have been taking care of my lawn for over 14 years. Followed the instruction exactly, did not deviate, did not over use and applied as recommended. After 3 days later I have no lawn. Pennington Fertilizer totally burn my beautiful new lawn!!!! Please do not use this poison! Very poor customer service and product. Pennington not responsible for this product!!! Buyers beware !!! Absolutely horrible !! I should have read the reviews before buying it. This is unbelievable!!! I will never never use a Pennington product again!!!
