Definitely not for crafty pets or pets that reallly realllly love food. I bought this for my 5 month old kitten who loves his food. The bowl is huge so I knew he would not be able to flip it over. However, this cat would yank on the little knobs and the some food would flip out since it is a soft plastic material. Apparently, this method was too slow for him because he started to chew off the knobs and scoop up mouthfuls of food. Unfortunately, this dummy also ate the knobs with his food, which he threw up later. So.. this bowl has lasted about 10 days of use for a 6 pound food demon, but did slow him down while it was intact.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  My 3-month old golden pup chewed off two bits of the gel today. He is a gentle chewer and hasn't even destroyed a toy. Luckily I found out before he swallows it. This product is not safe to leave with dog unsuperised. The stainless bowl works fine though.

Too big for my 11 lb mini poodle, and kind of an eye sore. It does help him slow down on his eating but again it’s just a bit too big for me and him. Also it’s irritating to clean because it’s bulky and fills up the sink (I don’t have a dishwasher); and the food part doesn’t separate. The water bowl is fine I guess.

I threw it in the washer alone before use and it fell apart. It says it machine washable so I wanted to wash it prior to first use. I was sooo upset. It comes bent from the box so I’m thinking it may have had a crease from sitting too long or idk but I’m definitely disappointed. It’s not like I can just say here’s another $20 take my money! Definitely feel robbed

I love this slow feeder and water dish. It keeps everything together. The water dish stays put. Good quality.My puppy has been using this for 2 ½ months and I would highly recommend this combo slow feeder bowl/water bowl.

Love this I do wish I wouldnt slide all over...I wanted the slow feeder for our extra fat cat but he pushes the mat all over the kitchen.

Great way to slow down our Corgis eating. He has chewed on the food nubs and they have held up fine so I'm happy.

The idea in principle is sound but in practice it’s flawed. As a spillage map and a water bowl it’s great but the problem is the feeding tray (there isn’t one) the feeding tray is part of the whole spillage mat unlike the water bowl which is stainless steel which you can take out fill, clean and return. You can’t with the feed tray it’s part of the whole system so your dogs eating from a rubber mat and you’ve got to clean the whole mat which is quite big after every meal and it’s cumbersome. I used it once and reverted back to 2 separate bowls and a mat underneath. If they put in a water and a slow feed bowl that could be taken out individually that would work, as it is it’s useless. Sorry.

Very happy to receive this, cleaned quite easily and our puppy Pug slowed down a lot eating out of this, it felt great quality and was great for the first 3 weeks maybe? Then it started tearing and now it's literally shredded to pieces. He's 5 months old and doesn't chew, not his bowl especially, he's just very greedy and a bit of an animal when eating and this may really isn't up to it. Probably not going to be too good for bigger dogs too...I'll add photos when I'm home so you can see, it's a great product, just not strong enough

And it really does work.Instead of seconds her dinner lasts much much longer .. helping her digest the food better.It also comes in an easy clean rubber mat with a chrome water bowl ... Great item

I purchased this for my newly acquired rescue Pug. I ordered a small, and it was larger than I expected. I have to say, that my Puggie loves it. It slows down his eating and each meal gives him a bit of a challenge! It is easy to keep clean ( I wash it out after his meals) and there is no mess on the floor because the mat catches everything. Delivered promptly with no problems. Great product, thank you.

Splitting mine in half. The water bowl is too big & my puppy might drown! The food side seems to work and slows her down...but only a bit! Washing it is a pain as I don't like doing it in our sink where we wash our plates etc. and the water splashes off the knobbly bits and goes all over the place!
