You’ve ruined shampoo for me
This is my third bottle of Tree to Tub shampoo and my first bottle of conditioner. I can officially say this has ruined all other hair products for me.I kept my old tried-and-true favorite Sebastian shampoo in the shower after getting my first bottle of this, and I accidentally started using it out of habit a couple times while working through my new bottle. It felt... gross. Now, the first time using this soapberry shampoo, I hated it. You get so used to traditional shampoos immediately lathering into a thick layer of suds that when you have to kind of work for it, it’s off-putting at first. But I was encouraged that my hair looked and felt amazing as it dried that night and well into the next day and didn’t feel greasy or smelly (was worried about that since I was using raw and unscented), not to mention my hands that are prone to eczema didn’t feel like they were screaming for moisture after shampooing my hair like they usually do - they even kind of felt soft! I decided to use the rest of the bottle consistently (minus those couple slip-ups) and see how I felt about it. It took me about a month to get through the bottle, and I was back on Amazon making sure I had a fresh one for my next shower!A few pro-tips:-Make sure hair is fully saturated with water before adding shampoo. It will help make it lather.-If you feel like your hair’s not squeaky clean enough, lather up and let it sit for a few minutes while you do the rest of your routine. You’ll notice a difference when you go to rinse. You can also lather, rinse, repeat with a tiny amount on the second lather and it will suds up like crazy to get anything you missed.-Use a little at a time. This stuff spreads pretty well as you work it in, and it’ll go farther than you think. I have a lot of hair and I start with 2 pumps and work it in from my ears/forehead back, another pump from behind my ears and up the back of my head, and one more pump for the crown of my head, and that’s plenty. The raw unscented and this peppermint version are both excellent, and you can’t go wrong with either. The peppermint is nice if you enjoy scented products!Ok, and holy crap this conditioner is AMAZING. I’ve used everything from drugstore brands to luxury brands and everything in between and this is THE BEST conditioner on the market. Period. The way it sinks into the hair immediately and rinsed clean without weighing it down is incredible. Plus, I use less than half the amount I was using in my Sebastian conditioner.Yep, I’m a customer for life!

Crunchy Cosmetologist Says...
I'm a cosmetologist who tries to keep things as natural/organic as possible while still staying true to a high standard for both safety and (hello!!) EFFECTIVENESS... Not many brands manage to walk this fine line as perfectly as treetotub does.I've been using their shampoos and conditioners for almost two years now (including other products such as their face wash, body wash, body lotion, and eye cream), and this brand never disappoints. An overview of my favorite features...pH balanced (as a cosmetologist this is a huge selling point for me)T2T makes the only soapberry cleansers on the market (and frankly, if others do exist, who cares lol)Aloe or soapberry juice is used as the base ingredient (not water) so veeery nourishingGentle for chemically-sensitive kids or kids with allergies, and gentle on eyes compared to other brandsShampoo cleanses without ever stripping (I'm a hairdresser by trade and consider this universally effective regardless of hair type)Conditioner softens without weighing down and I also use on my scalp to help condition the skin and promote new growth (note: I have long, coarse, chemically processed and bleached hair with almost no split ends).Scented with essential oils instead of fragrance (unscented option as well)When the bottles get low, you can dilute them with distilled water then shake to mix (this can also be done with liquid/fractionated aloe if you're feeling fancy). This extends the product because yes it is expensive but it is also very concentrated. Also, the customer service cant be beat. When I first started using this brand, there was a mixup. I had to deal with customer service (or should I say, customer service had to deal with an irate ME lol), and I was floored and humbled at the personalized service and professionalism... this company really does care. I've been a repeat customer ever since...Oh, and I look great too lol.

This is an interesting shampoo & conditioner, some pros and strange cons
First, the scent is awesome, exactly what I was hoping for, strong and refreshing mint. My hair looks gorgeous and is very full and soft after washing with this set. Oddly, even though my hair feels soft from this, I do find that I have HUGE tangling issues with this shampoo and conditioner, which I do not normally experience (in fact this is a first for me); my hair becomes almost impossible to brush without it coming out (yes brushing from ends first). Thanks to my hair type and current length/style I don't have to brush it that often (which is why this set still got 4 stars), but this could be a huge issue for someone with thicker/longer hair, if they experience it. It could just be that the conditioner leaves no residue and therefore has no "leave in" conditioning quality. What I also found interesting is that this conditioner actually causes a severe burning sensation *only* in the one area of my scalp where my hair is the thinnest (where there is some hair loss). I do have sensitive skin, but this does not burn anywhere else on my scalp, and does not cause redness or itching, or any other reaction. So I decided to keep using the set, and the strange sensation remains, in that one area, though it is now less severe. Very curious. I don't think I will be repurchasing due to the strange cons, but the pros are enough for me to leave the product a good rating, and for me to at least use the set up.
