Sceptical... but worked perfect! Saved us a ton of money.
After 10 years, the shower cartridge in our second bathroom needed to be replaced. We thought it would be an easy DIY project but kept running into problems at each step. We even had to pay a plumber just to come help us get the threaded sleeve out because it was not budging AT ALL. Then, he informs us he can't finish the job either because the knucklehead who installed the shower tiled OVER the screws to get the cartridge out! He said his tile guy could charge upwards of $300.00 to cut the tile. What?! Then, we called a very reliable handyman and he told us FOR SURE the tile is going to crack and before he comes out we needed to go find extra tile to be able to replace them. I told him BYE and came to Amazon looking for a solution. I looked at 3 different 4" bits and I chose this one because it was so cheap in price and knew we would probably only use it for this project. I was very sceptical and fully expected to fail but to our great surprise it worked awesome! We did a practice on a old piece of tile outside and the bit skipped ALL over the place. My husband said WTH and Rambo style went into the shower and just gave it a real strong push to start it through the shiny surface. I used a spray bottle of water on the tile and bit while he was going through to keep it cool. Once it passed the shiny finish, it cut no problem through the rest. I was yelling at him the whole time to be careful and to slow down because I was so worried about the tile cracking. You can see in the photos it made a very clean cut and almost no chipping. We had to hack saw down the cartridge a little bit in the front because the bit wasn't quite deep enough to get through the thick tile without hitting the cartridge. I can't believe it's finally done and could not be more happy with my purchase! FYI: We used it in our DeWalt drill and made sure to make plenty of guide lines in pencil because we had to get it spot on over the cartridge or risk a bigger problem.

Good saws for the price
Some of the saws are not perfectly round but they still work well and cut a smooth hole!

Gets the job done!
I was able to drill a hole in my concrete basement wall with this. It cut well but I had to go in steps because it is a shallow drill. I ended up needing to get 2 of them because the drill kicked back on me and bent the back plate, it is pretty thin but I might have been using a drill that had too much power for the job.

It worked very well for me on cement board
I was very worried about how I was going to make the cutout for this shower mixing valve when trying to cut the Hardiebacker board. I came upon this drill attachment, and it worked so well! What. Great investment for this project alone!Tip for cutting through the cement board: bring your drill to full speed, then slowly lower the drill down to the surface, until it kicks up dust and starts to form a groove in the cement board. Once the groove is made, it cuts easily, in less than 10 seconds! If you try to make contact with the drill bit in low speed, this bit is going to walk all over the place and wobble, making it impossible to hit your mark. I made my holes for this shower project, bath filling spout hole, mixing valve hole (5 1/4”), and shower spout holes on the first try, and it fit perfectly! (Bought some other smaller bits for the other cut-outs)I am anxious about using this to cut through my tile next, which is 12” by 24” ceramic tile. I understand it needs to have water on it so the bit and tile do not overheat. I will have a helper pour water over the tile as I drill.Great buy and well worth the money for me! Beats paying for a contractor anytime.

did the job...once!
You know the saying 'People don't want to buy a quarter-inch drill. They want a quarter-inch hole.'? Well I wanted an 80mm hole, and so I bought this. I got precisely the one 80mm hole I was after before the abrasive wore off, so I got the job done with the lowest-cost cutter i could find. So from that perspective, I'm very satisfied. But this is definitely a one and done cutter, even with relatively soft stone, and plenty of water to lubricate the cut. If you're not careful with the water, you could lose all the abrasive before you finish the cut, so definitely look out for that.

Worked on Marble
I purchased this to cut a couple holes in Marble Tile for a bathroom remodel. Excellent value for the price. Cut through the tile without issue. I suspect the durability isn't very good as it seemed like the bit dulled ever so slightly after the first use. Not a big deal since I don't plan on using it over and over again. SO it was sufficient for my needs.

Tile breaking saw
The post was not welded on properly and wobbles while drilling. I tried a 'loose wrist' so my hand/drill wobbles instead of the bit... Worked a little better, but still causes tiles to break once the cut gets deeper. tried different speeds and techniques with six different tiles. Now I'm out $48 in broken tiles for this poorly made $10 hole saw.
