MagicShine MJ-818 Bicycle Tail LED Bike Light 2011 version with improved MJ-828 LCD battery pack and charger

I'm unsure it fits daily commuting, here is why:-First of all the battery is huge! I don't think I need that much autonomy, I'd prefer smaller battery and a bit less of autonomy.-As the battery is huge and heavy, that's a challenge to tight it well, after few weeks of usage, the foam on the battery that is sticking to the bike was damage, part falling apart because it was to tightly setup. I was disappointed.-Getting a neat and clean installation is hard. The wire is very long and there is not easy way to pass the wire properly.I still like it, the light is very powerful and it's solid construction. If you need autonomy that's the right bet, otherwise I'd look for an alternative.

Very effective light - can be seen for miles, so life-saving, and the reason I gave it 5 stars.Three recommendations to manufacturer from the person I bought it for - 1) make it easier to adjust the light - you have to rotate it manually behind you to adjust settings and turn it on and off, and it's not obvious where you end up in the settings. Would be great if there was a remote for it actually. 2) 4 battery pack is pretty heavy - he actually went and bought the 2-battery pack for his regular road biking. He'll use the 4-battery one for bike touring though due to its longer life. Would be great if these batteries charged from the sun. 3) Light is crazy bright if riding in a pack and someone is directly behind you. Would be great to have a special "pack riding" setting that tones down the light that you could hit from, again, a remote.Otherwise seems to be the best light on the market and is recommended for its effectiveness!
