Very good Coffee, but doesn’t seem as fresh in the bag as other brands: When the price went up I used another brand and found the beans in that brand coffee were shiny, looking wet, a sure sign, I think, of fresher beans.Grinding Puroast Low Acid Coffee Whole Bean in the early morning, smelling the wonderful aroma, taking the 8 minutes to brew 10 + cups of this “healthy” beverage, is an eye opener, a wonderful morning addiction. Is that bad?

I drink a lot of coffee, so this is perfect for me. Because it is lower in acid, it does not upset my stomach.

It all started with receiving a Medium Roast Colombian, when all the pictures said Dark roast. But I was eager to try the low acid coffee since I am treating an ulcer. The beans smelled great! But the coffee had a bracky bitter taste, nothing like the smell in the bag. Using the same method we always do for all beans, we brewed a second pot, and it was no better. Very disappointing. Tasted like cheap truck stop coffee.

For starters this coffee boast of three times the potency of regular coffee. I use about 52 grams 1.5 quarts of water. Usually I use 78 but cut it about one third less of the coffee. It taste like nuts and roasted sugar syrup. It taste a little like tarrish but not to bad. It has a strange sweet sugary taste to it. If you bought or plan to buy I suggest using about one third less than you normal amount. It does taste slightly watery but it has flavor. It had a nutty flavor. It supposed to be more potent than regular coffee so that means we require less. Because I did not give up exactly on this coffee I think I found the right coffee water ratio that makes it drinkable for me otherwise if I use me regular amounts of coffee it taste horrid like the feeling in the mouth from when they put fresh tar on the street. Now I find it strange taste and satisfying at one third less than my regular amount of coffee.Signing off Nano! nano!

I love this coffee. A friend recommended it and I’ve been using it ever since. Not hard on the stomach and tastes great.

I love that this coffee appears to live up to it's claims of lower acidity and higher antioxidant quantity than regular coffees. The price is also competitive for organic beans and this is an important upgrade since pesticides can be heavy on coffee beans. The bummer for me is the taste. It's ok, not offensive but it definitely does not resemble any other quality french or dark roast that I've had. It has a shallow flavor reminiscent of dryer medium roast beans. It doesn't have a particularly good aroma as many dark and french roasts do and the beans honestly don't even smell that good. I re read the reviews and the company claims and followed some independent bloggers who also checked up and tested the claims and it all comes out good. The company appears to be sourcing quality beans and processing them in a way that retains antioxidant qualities and lower acidity. I'm still torn on whether to compromise flavor for health and try to get used to the taste. Maybe it's something similar to the swiss water process that they are doing to retain nutrients and lower acid? Maybe using part white coffee beans (younger but not as flavorful). I don't know but for some reason I keep trying to make this work because of the price. :)

I suffer from UC and decided to try Puroast low acid coffee. My family enjoys the regular and dark roast but we love the bourbon pecan torte.

I love the taste and I did a blind taste test would not be able to tell the difference between this low acid, decaf and the real deal. Made a huge difference with not irritating my digestion and ulcers.

Bad taste, beans roated too hard for my automatic espresso maker.
